Superstar had a love/hate relationship with wrestling for 20 years but is not given the credit he truly deserves for what he did for the industry. Without superstar there would be no dusty,Hogan, ventura
There likely would have been, although it probably would have been them taking cues from something or someone else that was popular at the time instead of Graham. Those guys were a force of nature.
@@nicodimus2222 ventura has said that the reason he got into wrestling was because he watched superstar billy graham as a fan and Hogan had even said that he wanted to be like superstar billy graham. He did have a influence on some to even get into wrestling. If superstar billy graham wasn't in the industry, would any of these guys become the stars they ended up being?
@@michaelriverajr8891 I'm not denying he had influence on those wrestlers or the business. What I'm saying is that nature abhors a vaccuum, so if Graham wasn't there, some other trend or person would have been and had an influence in his place.
There was more to the Jericho feud. Jericho took a shot at Billy for talking about the Benoit situation without really knowing Benoit(maybe he was upset about Eddie’s funeral as well) Graham then called Jericho a liar and said he should rot in hell. Jericho just laughed it off. He did donate money to pay for one of Graham’s surgeries.
To play Devil's Advocate on the lawsuit, the football players who sued the NFL all played 10-15 years before reaching the pros, so its not just wrestlers taking this approach. Not saying I think WWE is liable, but it can easily be argued Graham would have sued the other places he worked in addition to WWE but they no longer exist.

One of the pioneers of great talkers in wrestling
RIP Superstar 🙏❤
Hed been suffering for about 30 years.. Glad he no longer has to suffer
RIP
Reading your comments was too painful for him to keep going. Cringe boy.
He doesn’t have to deal with your incompetent tantrums anymore.

An absolute legend ❤️
RIP
Hoegan is basically Vince Jr rebooking face Billy Graham correctly/justly
Good point
Who's Hoegan? Hoke Hoegan?
'Hoe' gan 😂 I see what you did there
RIP Superstar- the greatest
If you haven’t read it, I would suggest tracking down a copy of his book. It’s a great read and one of the better wrestling autobiographies out there.
Its always sad when someone passes. But 79 all things considered is a good age. RIP Superstar
Kind of surreal to hear Dave talk about Billy Graham at Eddies funeral, just listened to him interview him about Eddie just before the funeral.

@nicodimus2222 very true but if superstar never got into wrestling imagine what the business would look like today 🤔
He inspired Dave to get on the gas as well.

Original Innovator of Style before HBK n Bret n their Style became the Go to for Current Wrestlers..
…that’s rough stuff to talk about .

Alvarez coming in with that jarring plug. Maybe this video could have done without that.
Superstar was a total self-confessed conman, so he would have appreciated it.

What I learned from this is that drugs ruined this man and made him into a terrible human being or something like that.
So that's a pretty rude thing to say.
