    Sir is lewins genes xii sufficient or i need to have combination of lewins genes and watsons molecular bio of the gene

    Sir I have a question but it is irrelevant to the topic. Still I am asking it to you: "Why we give insulin to Diabetes mellitus type II patient even though the patient has insulin intolerance and receptors are damaged? And if we don't give insulin how do we treat diabetes type II?

      Kshitij, there are several types of mechanisms which can cause Type II diabetes. There are some where insulin receptors do not respond to normal levels of insulin (insulin resistance), and some where the insulin secretion is below normal. In the case of insulin secretion being below normal, insulin is given. In other cases of Type II diabetes, there are several medications which target other aspects of diabetes, e.g. uptake of glucose, reducing blood glucose levels, etc.
