The way I understood it, the Realm of Light and the Realm of Darkness were always separate areas. The Realm of Darkness is one big interconnected world, and it's supposed to be the polar opposite of the Realm of Light. As such, the Realm of Light before the War was one big interconnected world the same way the Realm of Darkness is, and the War ultimately shattered just the Realm of Light into the small pieces we see throughout the series.
Honestly these kind of videos in particular (and generally the lore exploration) is what keeps my interest for the KH saga still alive. I'm ready to enjoy some more M E A T.
I really appreciate these videos you make. I absolutely LOVED the theories you made before and the way you speak and perform throughout these videos. It kinda feels halfway between listening to a kid's story and going through a classroom lesson, but in the best way possible, like how the KH franchise is the best possible fusion of Disney and final fantasy. These lore videos feel like a natural extension for you and a fitting one as well. If ANYONE can provide an explanation for the series that's easy to digest without one having to go through the entire series in release date order again, it's you. I hope you don't stop making theory videos, though. Hope these videos pull in more subscribers for you as you definitely deserve it.
I swear, you're literally the smartest Kingdom Hearts content creator. Your grasp on the work by acknowledging Nomura's appeal for the literal, while sustaining his conductive mysteries, is stimulating and memorable!!! I love your theories so much and happy to see your video essays!
What do you think about the possibility of The Worlds being shattered BEFORE the Keyblade War in X and the projections being required to keep up the facade that the greater world is still connected? MoM seems to imply that there have been other Keyblade Wars before (possibly the one where the X Blade was shattered) maybe the worlds were actually shattered during one of those wars.
I think that's very a interesting thought! I'd be curious to see *why* the need to hide such a major factor of the state of the world, since the MoM tells Luxu it would be destroyed after X's battle (th-cam.com/video/tpbJ1wnkZf8/w-d-xo.html). So if the MoM feels compelled to lie to Luxu about the traitor, you raise an interesting question on if he lied about anything else....
@sdgaara2 If the worlds were already separated, how did the Unions gather on the Keyblade Graveyard for the great battle? Maybe the Keyblade Graveyard was shattered after X's war and other worlds shattered after previous wars? What do you think?
@@sakito1905 a fair point. I suppose it depends whether or not The Keyblade Graveyard is just outside of Daybreak Town or not. The Graveyard is still such a mysterious location what with the ruins Xehanort was able to raise out of them and all.
@@TheSecretReports Well, MoM also did not want anyone to remember the keyblade war apart from the 5 union leaders... And we also have the lies told to the Foretellers... So I would say that lying and deceiving is something the MoM does 100000% if he believes that it would be beneficial for his own plan.
I've been so focused on theorizing about Yozora/Verum Rex/KH4 that I've neglected this side of KH, so this is really awesome. I look forward to the other videos.
It's been a while since I've watched your videos, so I had forgotten just how much work goes into making them. They're incredibly well edited, I can't imagine how much effort it takes to put them together, visuals or script. I'm looking forward to seeing this full series, and honestly the refressher is really helpful.
Amazing presentation as a former union cross veteran i really enjoyed this piece and appreciate the work you have put into it, I miss the game and enjoyed the nostalgic feelings brought up by this wonderful presentation your fine details with the audio were impressive and perfectly executed, thank you very much for this excellent presentation and I look forward to viewing more of your great work in the future, sincerely Galgos CROSS of the Cerburus Legion
Imagine you get sent to a cool magical academy to train to fight evil, and then your headmaster disappears, and then the teen dormitory leaders all turn on each other and lead you into a battle with one another that destroys you all and cracks the entire world apart. And then they make a gacha mobile game about your deaths. I had always thought after the War, the lands started drifting apart on the ocean that made them up, until darkness seeped in and expanded the gaps into space in-between. But having it so the worlds were instantly blasted apart does seem to make more sense... I know the 'data world' stuff is all really just another complicated wrinkle to the KHUx worldbuilding, like the time traveling and lux, but its my favorite part of the tangled web of these games. We've already seen Roxas struggling to comprehend the difference between the real world and a data world in KH2. Ava promised to send the Dandelions to 'a new world.' What's to say a data world isn't itself its own dimension? You can change the parameters of a digital world. And digital copies have been used in KH all the time to bring characters 'back' or even duplicate them, those data versions seemingly gaining their own souls and hearts. Add to this that the Data Daybreak Town seems to end up connected to the Realm of Sleep- Could all data worlds be connected to Sleeping Worlds, or be sleeping worlds themselves? Do androids dream of electric sheep????? One last thing to add is how amazing it is that the most integrated a Disney world has been into these games is in the *mobiles ones* , like freaking Wreck it Ralph, where it connects because Game Central Station *IS* a data world. Do you know how bonkers it is on top of regular Kingdom hearts shenanigans to say, "Our OC Keykid protag died and Xehanort began inside a terminal of funny Wreck It Ralph world"???? IN *CALIFORNIA* . LITWICK'S ARCADE IS IN FUCKING *CALI*
Amazing video as always Mel! Can't wait to see more of this project. On a side note: I definitely think the Lux that was collected in the data world was the Lux that was originally collected before the war and not the leftover existing light. They were basically using the original light from the original worlds to rebuild those worlds.
Well I decided to keep an open mind because in the cutscene "Cornerstones of the New World", the MoM says (in English) "The wielders sent outside will gather light *from the now scattered worlds* ", I personally feel that line might contradict the idea of gathering light that was *already* collected before.
@@Andrew-wl3hn I don’t blame you though!! I really had to be careful in keeping track of every little detail for this series (and still miss things!), and not everyone has the time to do that…
Your efforts are very in depth and thorough. Though I consider myself quite knowledgeable about the lore of this series, thus far you've impress me by managing to explain everything so clearly and thoroughly that even I learned some new things that I hadn't picked up before. Well done! Well done indeed. Your efforts are much appreciated.
I've always wondered why is "common knowledge" that the Keyblade War was fight over Kingdom Hearts and the X-Blade (resulting in both being lost "forever") and we didn't see any of this referenced in the war we get in the game. Aside from Gula (and only Gula) trying to summon Kingdom Hearts. Could be that this "War over Kingdom Hearts where the X-Blade was shattered" is another war and not the one we see in Union Cross?
That's what more and more fans are starting to conclude, yes! That along with the MoM telling Luxu that the Keyblade War started when he (MoM) was a boy, that *that* is when the X blade shattered. There's also the speculation that if the X blade shattered into 7 lights and 13 darkness, that these 13 beings of darkness ARE from the X blade.
@@TheSecretReports Oooh, that makes sense. So we could be actually talking about two separated legendary events like they were the same. Just like real legends.
The other thing is when it coulda to legends, the truth gets distorted over time so at the moment the children rebuilding the world is currently the only true thing present people know.
this was pretty interesting yet one thing that I find conflicting with UX lore and the modern KH titles is that in UX the worlds used to be one and connected to each other, yet in KH1 (granted this is a bit obscure due to translation errors) the worlds are considered their own universes closed off from each other and that's why you don't have other characters from different worlds crossing over to other worlds, I'll use the Lilo and Stitch spaceship world thing from BBS as an example. The ship is traveling through space but it isn't the space between worlds (universes), it is traveling across the same world (universe) that it is in since it cannot break the confines of that world without a Keyblade, Corridors of Darkness, Light Portals, Gummiship, and sometimes just characters having a strong enough will (Beast from KH1 in Hollow Bastion). Though I think this probably could be explained as the worlds used to be apart of the same ethereal plain that people could travel across normally but the worlds (universes) are now isolated and closed off after the war.
not the "pokemon was ash's coma dream" reference lmaoooo legit love how these videos are so intricately produced, informative, and hilarious! excellent work as always!
Great video as always, I love all the little details that you put into it. As for the cards in web [chi]: I always thought it was a deliberate choice to not include Heartless into the cards, especially since Dream Eater card exist. Either the Unchained team didn't care as much or because they are not pure projection but data of projections they were allowed this time around.
Wonderful video. The whole pitting the Foretellers against each other was pivotal. By having the leaders fight, it encourages the soldiers to fight as well. It breeds darkness whether or not that is what the Master of Masters intended. It could also be the best outcome he saw while using the gazing eye.
It must take a lot effort to make these scripts and visuals. Honestly can't tell you enough how good these videos are, keep up the good work and hopefully you don't over do it for yourself!!
I’ve watched everything but this and the channel intro, as well as read the document this series of videos is (going to be) based on and I can confidently say that this is one of the best-edited, clearly-explained, and well-illustrated channels I’ve ever seen about this franchise on youtube. Not only do you put a lot of passion and time-consuming effort and Mad Editing Skillz into each video, the way you lay out your theories (whether they’re debunked or not) is extremely easy to follow and excellently written. And I haven’t even mentioned the fact that you take the time to link transcripts of the video, as well as sources used. I’ve saved the kh-stock as a bookmark and I’m planning to spend a lot of time on it just looking through assets (and maybe changing my cursor to Oathkeeper and Oblivion for the lols). I really appreciate the time and care you put into all of this, and for free, too (yes I know you have a patreon everyone go see it you deserve the support)! I can’t tell you enough how happy I am that I found this channel, your takes are sizzling and your theories are big brain and I can’t wait to see how this specific series progresses, having read the original doc.
Perfect exposition of everything, this video is already a must watch! I always thought Pureblood Heartless in X were projection because they drop Lux, thinking that Lux is the texture and fabric of projections... but if I'm not wrong there are battles against non-projected creatures (like Darklings) that still rewards you with Lux and, even if I was right, this couldn't explain, unlike your theory, how collecting Lux could save the shattered worlds. I need to think again more carefully on this subject... On a side note, I don't get the passage when you say that Keyblade Graveyard could be already its own world at the end of the battle. I don't see how Ephemer and Skuld could travel through worlds to bring Player home: could the Leaders really world travel using some data world shenanigans?
"I don't see how Ephemer and Skuld could travel through worlds to bring Player home: could the Leaders really world travel using some data world shenanigans" you know that's a really good point! I really wish we could have just *seen* a cinematic of the worlds breaking apart, a lot could be answered that way... It might be that Nomura is purposely hiding the war and some revelation surrounding it, but it don't see what that could be at the moment 🤔
Another theory could be that the battles we see in X and union X are just battles, killing plenty, but never actually destroying anything. If you remember MoM and his friends fought the darkness even earlier, and it could easily be that conflict that broke the world, only for the dandylions to rebuild it using the light gathered in the keyblade war that we get to see
It was my understanding that Unchained Key does not take place in the same realm as X. At the end of X, after the keyblade war, the surviving wielders went off into the “Unchained” realm to be safe from the real world’s destruction or something. Then during Unchained X, the Union Leaders were chosen and they were to essentially allow history to repeat itself. It was after some time the Union Leaders became aware of a Data World, developed to allow the remaining Keyblade wielders to train with the memories of the past weighing them down. Essentially what I’m saying is that each X game has taken place in a different realm. The original realm, the unchained realm, the data realm, and then the realm Dark Road takes place in which currently is believed to be the same realm we’ve been existing in since Kingdom Heaths but may find out otherwise in Missing Link.
"Unchained Key does not take place in the same realm as X." yes, I try to state that Unchained X takes place a data world, sorry if that didn't translate well. However, I do not believe Unchained X and Union X are in different realms from each other; there isn't any line I was able to find to state/hint/imply that. In a much much much later video in the series, I *would* like to discuss the theory that BOTH Unchained X/Union X take place in Unreality (while still being in data worlds. So they're both within data within unreality). And if you want to know why now and not wait for the video, I direct you to the document linked in the description because I talk about that theory there.
@@TheSecretReports it was my interpretation that Unchained X takes place in what is referred to as the Unchained realm which is different from the Data World seen in Union Cross. I understand what you are saying but I think you are missing the inclusion of the Unchained realm. My theory is that the Victorian era Scala Ad Caelum we see in Missing Link is what becomes Quadratum which is the the capital of sorts of Unreality which I believe is what remains of the Unchained realm. At the end of X Ephemer and Skuld save player at the Keyblade Graveyard and bring player to another Keyblade graveyard in the Unchained realm. This leaves me to believe that the original realm that was abandoned post keyblade war is what later becomes known as Unreality. The light was collected via Lux and the Darkness was harnessed using the bangles, leaving the world devoid of either light or darkness. The wielders then left that realm and brought light and darkness to a new realm. The unchained realm. While the hearts of the wielders rebuilt a new world. The new realm of light. This is where we get world lines. The same thing happened in KH3. Time travel doesn’t change history but rather sends the travelers to another world line that is at a different chronological point. The worlds did fall to darkness. Sora just went to a worldline where he still had time to change things. Otherwise it would create a paradox. This is all just speculation but just wanted to point out some discrepancies I see in the argument you’ve presented. Great work as always though!
This is fantastic!!! Well done as always. One thing stands out: you mention that Unchained X is repeating the events of X in the data world - but from what I understand, Unchained X tells the same real-world story as X. The only difference is at the end, when the dandelions are sent from the real world to the data world, their memories of the final war are wiped, so their MEMORIES are changed, but they don't relive the same events in data. We as the player just see the real-world events as they unfold as someone affected by memory wipe. They even said they don't wipe our memories of all of X, just the final war, so it wouldn't make sense if we relived the whole thing again in data, since people would remember that. What do you think of this perspective?
I think this a very popular understanding, and I totally get why, but I just can't get behind it personally. I hope it's okay I copied this from another reply I just now sent to someone else too 🙈 In Union X we see holograms of Strelitzia before her death and of Ava and the MoM having a private discussion, which means that Daybreak Town and all the events that happen within it was recorded for a long period of time. I believe these glitchy holograms playing out entire previous scenes is evidence that the MoM meant for Daybreak Town to have its events "playback" in a digital way. Otherwise there's no reason for these holograms to exist at all, glitchy or otherwise. We also have direct statement of this in the Japanese (unfortunately its a lot more vague in the official English release). Here's a fan translation: “There I will have you experience the same things you did here, but that world will go on, this time without total annihilation in its future.” th-cam.com/video/arXbDZKiwjY/w-d-xo.html You said, "They even said they don't wipe our memories of all of X, just the final war," but in all honesty I'm not able to find that anywhere, do you remember where that's said ? I know in data Enchanted Dominion, darkness tells Maleficent that the Dandelions' memories of the war were overwritten, but I personally don't interpret that to mean **only** the memories of the war-- but I guess that's just an opinion haha! While I do plan to make a video exploring this in depth, I also genuinely don't believe it matters all that much unless for some unforeseen reason it becomes relevant again in the future (let's hope not!!!)
@@TheSecretReports omg I love that you've come back to reply to this!! I had no idea the Japanese text was like that. It really does spell it out a lot more. You have me convinced with that line alone! (I don't recall where I heard that initial quote I stated sorry ☠️)
Cycladic - It’s the style of architecture that Scala ad Caelum has in KH3. I think they referred to it that way in the video to distinguish this version of Scala ad Caelum from the Gothic version that existed at a different era in Scala’s history.
Great to see you back! I’ve been saying it but your videos are probably some of the most underrated in the kh community. Especially your theories. Hope to see more from you soon.
Umm, one thing that stuck on my mind was the dark corridors, we know in the modern times that it connects to all the realms basically, but if the realm of sleep exist, and we know thanks to Jimminy's Journal of KH3 base, not even remind, that the King and Riku are able use the power of waking to access the realm of darkness and like you suggested in a past theory of yours that the realm of sleep is inside the realm of darkness. All of this if it's true, it could imply it exist on the X time. P.S: It's on the section Glossary where it's said that the power of waking can access the realm of darkness, along side with the dark corridors and unstable worlds, on the section of "The three realms". On that same section on "The power of waking", it's mention again alongside that both Riku and Mickey have it.
*video not vid. I do not understand the concept of wanting to shorten a word that is already short enough as it is. I find it ridiculous. But I do understand wanting to shorten long words.🤦♂
1:32 Square needs to take my billion dollar idea and make a console/PC MMO set during the time where all the worlds were connected, thus mkaing an open world where we can walk to any Disney world. Perhaps the story could be about the backstory of MoM, so it would have to come out after Kh4/kh5 to preserve his mystery.
having a 'unified world' open world KHUx game where you visit all the worlds would be AMAZING, *except* that it would probably require Square add lore-based 'prequels' to the Disney worlds, which would probably big a big 'no-no' by Disney
I think I'll never say enough ; thank you for all these videos. I lost my braincells along the way (*sigh* I don't age well) and with KH3, this is a mini saga I'm very confuse with (one reason is that I really need to rewatch it start to finish one day). And your editing are so good, you're so inspiring haaaa Okay so, theory why Keyblade wielders *could* maybeeee open Darkness 'corridors' (I hate that word, I prefer 'portals') is maybe just that... They're not Princess of Hearts. They *do* have Darkness in their hearts and even if with the Kingdom Key D it's Canon that Keyblade from Darkness exist, I don't recall any indications that Keyblade are just Darkness or Light (even if I headcanon that). The best example is Riku... ! Sooo, we *could* assume that... they actually could? As for the Realm of Darkness (and by extension "end of the World" that I imagine be the KH1 version of the Realm of Darkness to be honest) I personally always headcanon-ed/assumed that there was 2 differents type of 'Corridors', one that was opening *in* the Darkness Realm and another one that just... a Corridor, connecting 1 entrance and 1 exit. Because I always find it weird to imagine the Organization trying to find THE 'door' to go to a specific world xD All that to say that the 'corridors' in Union are for me just... Corridors. Not reaallyyy the Realm of Darkness. Okay, I stop rambling sorry fkeznfkj But this is just my own theory without any real evidence.... And I have nothing else to talk about the videos because... I'm just taking notes kfzebjf Thank you again for your videos. I saw your Tumblr post, so just wanted to say that if you need to, don't hesitate to take breaks/hiatus
It’s been stated that when the Keyblade War started, the Dandelions fled to the data world. From there they had to go back to the real world to board the lifeboats. When everything went wrong
The Dandelions did not go back to the real world immediately, but after along while. In a future video, I will explain how most of X's events must repeat in the data world before things go wrong in UX and they re enter the real world. Is that what you mean ?
What trips me up with the whole fight against Darkness, is that you cannot have one without the other. What defines light, if not darkness and viceversa.
I just wrote a comment about the connection between the two games. You feel the same way as I do. lol Honestly, there's a very deep connection between the two and we can't deny it.
I'm looking forward to a concise and clearly defined overview of the X saga. I followed along with the story updates, but I'm happy to get a good deep recap before Missing Link comes around. Plus, your videos are some of the best KH content around! Thank you! God be with you out there everybody! ✝️ :)
So happy you're back, these videos are great. It was probably not something stated with much intention, but "across the galaxy" implies that the worlds aren't as large as they are, but DDD tells us that as the worlds are in present time, they are universes with their own separate space and time from each other. There's also many worlds where planets and stars exist within the "world," or worlds like BBS's lilo and stitch one where it's just space and not actually any planet. Hercules implies the existence of creator gods and stuff like that but I doubt Zeus had anything to do with creating the entire KH omniverse. Makes you wonder how they went from being the same piece of land to being entirely separate universes. Probably relates to the recreation with lux.
I have a theory/prediction in regards to the survivors matter, we have the Dream eaters(Dandelions) right? And as of right now, they are safely in Traverse Town, what if... somehow in KH4 or 5 or whatever future title that takes place in the present, the Dandelions would awaken and be sent back to the past some time after the break, that way, they all together with Ephemer could build Scala Ad Caellum. Not just them, maybe a certain subject could go back as well...
I'm very interested on the later videos of this, since there's many details that are a bit vague. Like why didn't the darknesses use Ralph's world for traversal (maybe they did?), or people thinking all the dream eaters in DDD are dandelions even tho they should be stuck in the data world (or wtv is left of it). The later half of UX eludes me still lol. Fantastic video nonetheless
Yeah I think the Darknesses WANTED to use Ralph's world for traversal, but it seems they themselves are not able to open the gates/portals that the other Union Leaders/Dandelions can open. And yeah I am of the mind that the dream eaters in DDD are *not* the ones in UX (since we create those ones out of recipes and dream pieces), however I WOULD like to discuss the dream eaters in KH3 that Sora summons, because I think *they* might be the ones from UX.
I loved the video!!! Thank you for the amazing work! So on your theory, what did the kingdom hearts that is present in the keyblade graveyard during the war do? Just sucked in the hearts of the fallen? I always interpreted it was kingdom hearts that “ decided” to split the worlds. In the cutscene we see at the beginning of final chapter prologue we see it becoming brighter and brighter as it consumes more dead.
I think that's a very interesting thought! I don't really see the moon getting brighter and brighter, BUT I do think it's interesting that the light being collected looks soo different from anything the hearts in X/UX itself, or resemble the hearts we've seen so far in KH in general. I was going to include a theory that maybe it's all the dead keybladers' *lux* that Kingdom Hearts is collecting in 0.2's prologue, but I decided to leave it out since I have nothing to back that up. Still though, I think the idea that it was the KH moon that split the worlds to be very interesting!
There was a shattering by a certain character but not before putting it's 🗝 chain inside the black box along with Agito's heart. There is more in the black box. If you want to know what's in it, find my shadow again.
I think the Current Realm of Darkness is the Old World since the Lanes inbetween in 3 feels like an underwater Space and the World/regions Sepperated off the Old World to get away from the Darkness.
I always thought Unchained X was just the original game, taking place in the real world as well, while the Union X expansion was after the war, thus taking place in the data world... the minor inconsistencies of X and Unchained X were explained by it being the players memories (played to be a dream by the Chirathies and new union leaders)
I understand why people think of it this way, but I will soon explain why I don't believe this to be the case. In Union X we see holograms of Strelitzia before her death and of Ava and the MoM having a private discussion, which means that Daybreak Town and all the events that happen within it was recorded for a long period of time. I believe the reason it was digitally recorded was so that it could playback its sequence of events again as Unchained X. If data Daybreak Town was simply a single "snapshot" of the whole town, rather than a whole "video", there's no reason those glitchy holograms should exist and playout entire scenes. We also have direct statement of this being the case in the Japanese (unfortunately its a lot more vague in the official English release). Here's a fan translation: “There I will have you experience the same things you did here, but that world will go on, this time without total annihilation in its future.” th-cam.com/video/arXbDZKiwjY/w-d-xo.html Sorry for the late reply, hope this helps you understand it a little more!
Hey, what about the Donald, Goofy and Mickey that appear in Daybreak Town? I guess they'd be projections from the Book as well, but can't grasp the purpose for they to be called upon. And then we have the last scene from that event where a Foreteller (which is revealed to be Invi by the game's files) is watching everything from the distance. This event has always confused me, not because it is hard to understand what's happened, but WHY it happened.
@@TheSecretReports I would really appreciate that! I mean, it's something important enough to be added in the Chi light novel, and even there there's no answer whatsoever. I'd really love to see your take on that! Please keep up with the great work!
I just figured something on a whim when you said the worlds broke apart So, since every world has its own Heart and they all used to be together, could the Keyblade War have caused each world's heart to become affected and "decide" to split apart? Like a friendship ending due to a fight?
That could be the likely scenario. I have been postulating that the Master is not exactly a nice guy. Think about it: he claims he wants to save people but the problem is darkness will always come back as long as there are hearts, hence why the cycle will continue. I don’t think the Master wants to save anyone. Rather I think his plan is to destroy everything, the entire multiverse and that’s a bad idea. Because as I believe without darkness there can be no light just as without light there can be no darkness. Take away one fundamental principle and everything crumbles. There’s a good reason why there’s the concept of dark is not bad and light is not good.
@@PixelHeroViish Yep. To me he sounds like a sociopathic narcissist. All he cares about are his goals. Now I could be wrong but that’s the vibe I’m getting with him and I’m terrified for Sora. He is quiet idealistic and he still views the world in black and white so being tricked by the silver-tongued Master only to learn how far he wants to get ride of darkness (I.e. completely destroying the multiverse and thus everyone and everything) will break Sora mentally and spiritually. And with him being separated from his friends he’ll have no one to help put together the pieces of his shattered psyche. That is unless Riku can save him in time.
I really hope Missing Link will provide a lot of extra lore and fill in more plot holes for X. I’d personally like to know the official length of how long ago the war actually took place in the timeline from game 1

God damn, but X is such an increadibly lore dense game, the fact that its a mobile title is practically a crime.
So if the MoM feels compelled to lie to Luxu about the traitor, you raise an interesting question on if he lied about anything else....

So glad to see more of this!! I’ve always loved your editing and you’ve outdone yourself with this! I’m ready for some ML lore-!
Glad to see you back after so long. you make the highest quality videos of any KH youtuber. I could only hope to make something half as good.
I have to ask: are you properly caffeinated? If not, the community has some Kingdom Hearts Dark Roast for you to solve that.
Only sold behind Nomura Fried Chicken
I do appreciate you making use of the many different pronunciations for X to confuse us. Nomura would be proud.
Mel whens the next episode?
You're by far one of the best kh theorist.
man this is pretty complex

hoo boy
Excellent analysis video! The choices of visuals & audio are also very nice! Thanks so much for uploading!
@@TheSecretReports ahhhh that makes sense then. Haha you’re really on top of all this! Totally forgot he said that
@@Andrew-wl3hn I don’t blame you though!! I really had to be careful in keeping track of every little detail for this series (and still miss things!), and not everyone has the time to do that…
@@TheSecretReports and that right there is what makes you such an excellent content creator! Thanks for all your hard work Mel!
Just like real legends.
oh god that means we need to go even farther back ;_;
@@OhNoBohNo Of course!
The other thing is when it coulda to legends, the truth gets distorted over time so at the moment the children rebuilding the world is currently the only true thing present people know.
was so pleasantly surprised how gorgeously edited this video was! great job!!
The editing us top tier! Keep up the great work :)
this was pretty interesting yet one thing that I find conflicting with UX lore and the modern KH titles is that in UX the worlds used to be one and connected to each other, yet in KH1 (granted this is a bit obscure due to translation errors) the worlds are considered their own universes closed off from each other and that's why you don't have other characters from different worlds crossing over to other worlds, I'll use the Lilo and Stitch spaceship world thing from BBS as an example. Though I think this probably could be explained as the worlds used to be apart of the same ethereal plain that people could travel across normally but the worlds (universes) are now isolated and closed off after the war.
not the "pokemon was ash's coma dream" reference lmaoooo
legit love how these videos are so intricately produced, informative, and hilarious! excellent work as always!
The X series really some of the most interesting lore in the series. Enjoyed hearing these ideas explained and can't wait for more!
I see you, I think the more I worked on this video, the more I agree with how you said they were allowed since they were data of projections.
oooo off to a great start with this series!! the graphics are amazing!!
Oh man can't belive I've been missing out on this channel for so long, the EXACT kinda content I'm here for!
Amazing work as usual. Looking forward for what's next.
If you remember MoM and his friends fought the darkness even earlier, and it could easily be that conflict that broke the world, only for the dandylions to rebuild it using the light gathered in the keyblade war that we get to see
Crying bc this video was great & you talk about covering so many good topics in future videos, but haven’t uploaded again 💔
As always amazing video and explanation 🙌🙌🙌I was just wondering where can I see the next video in the series been waiting for out for while 🙌
I like to imagine that this is a history class in scala ad caelum
Ooh a new upload , I always look forward to these from you ^_^
My peanut brain cannot comprehend this lore but the vibes are immaculate

Ooh, big fan of your layout and editing style! Thanks for these videos!
I had never made the connection that Daybreak Town survived without falling into darkness. I wonder where all the water came from, though...
Scala ad Caelum just floats on the tears of the fans...
I hope it's okay I copied this from another reply I just now sent to someone else too 🙈
In Union X we see holograms of Strelitzia before her death and of Ava and the MoM having a private discussion, which means that Daybreak Town and all the events that happen within it was recorded for a long period of time.
Here's a fan translation: “There I will have you experience the same things you did here, but that world will go on, this time without total annihilation in its future.” th-cam.com/video/arXbDZKiwjY/w-d-xo.html
You said, "They even said they don't wipe our memories of all of X, just the final war," but in all honesty I'm not able to find that anywhere, do you remember where that's said ?
What was that word you used to describe the Scala we saw in KH III at 9:10?
Cycladic - It’s the style of architecture that Scala ad Caelum has in KH3.
I think they referred to it that way in the video to distinguish this version of Scala ad Caelum from the Gothic version that existed at a different era in Scala’s history.
@@SuperOmi Gotcha, thanks for the info!

While Final Fantasy 14 is still making bank? No, that's sales cannibalism.
having a 'unified world' open world KHUx game where you visit all the worlds would be AMAZING, *except* that it would probably require Square add lore-based 'prequels' to the Disney worlds, which would probably big a big 'no-no' by Disney

This is a great video, the effort is clearly on screen. Super well done.
Big fan of your work. Keep making all those videos. Very good explanation and the art detail of the background is amazing. Keep at it.
I think I'll never say enough ; thank you for all these videos. I lost my braincells along the way (*sigh* I don't age well) and with KH3, this is a mini saga I'm very confuse with (one reason is that I really need to rewatch it start to finish one day). And your editing are so good, you're so inspiring haaaa
Okay so, theory why Keyblade wielders *could* maybeeee open Darkness 'corridors' (I hate that word, I prefer 'portals') is maybe just that... Okay, I stop rambling sorry fkeznfkj
But this is just my own theory without any real evidence....
And I have nothing else to talk about the videos because... I'm just taking notes kfzebjf

Yessss it’s been a while!!!

Very great video, editing is elite. Feels like I'm watching this from square themselves
Can we talk about the connections between X and FF Type-0?? This will forever haunt me.
I just wrote a comment about the connection between the two games. You feel the same way as I do. lol
Honestly, there's a very deep connection between the two and we can't deny it.
I'm looking forward to a concise and clearly defined overview of the X saga. I followed along with the story updates, but I'm happy to get a good deep recap before Missing Link comes around. Plus, your videos are some of the best KH content around! Thank you!
God be with you out there everybody! ✝️ :)
Great video ! The montage is so good and on point :o
This video was done very well, I loved the illustrations.
Really loving these videos! Keep it up!
This is some amazing video production 👏.
THE RETURN OF SECRET REPORTS! YESSSS!
Thanks for your work. I love these videos and I'm hyped for Missing link
this video is amazing
Thank you for the amazing work you've done!
I wish that this game was still playable, I miss it.
Amazing analysis!
I just looked at your channel yesterday and was sad you hadn't uploaded in a while

No better way to help me get over my confusion than to keep putting 'X' on the screen and reading off different words for it.

Here's a fan translation: “There I will have you experience the same things you did here, but that world will go on, this time without total annihilation in its future.” th-cam.com/video/arXbDZKiwjY/w-d-xo.html
Sorry for the late reply, hope this helps you understand it a little more!
I have another video idea in X-Position where I would like to include this, definitely.
@@TheSecretReports I would really appreciate that! I mean, it's something important enough to be added in the Chi light novel, and even there there's no answer whatsoever. I'd really love to see your take on that! Please keep up with the great work!

Nice to have another nice video.
YESSSSSSSS! SO EXCITED!
i love these videos so much
I just figured something on a whim when you said the worlds broke apart
So, since every world has its own Heart and they all used to be together, could the Keyblade War have caused each world's heart to become affected and "decide" to split apart?
@@mirandagoldstine8548 Noctis is really putting in the work to ruin everything for everyone 🤭 (cuz they're voiced by the same man)
@@PixelHeroViish Yep.
I don't think daybreak town had any residents left that could endure since the dandelions are asleep and everyone else died in the war
Dark Roast is the kingdom hearts thanksgiving special
I really hope Missing Link will provide a lot of extra lore and fill in more plot holes for X. I’d personally like to know the official length of how long ago the war actually took place in the timeline from game 1
