The threatening angular stealth aesthetic is peak. i got to see one up close at a museum that was still being refurbished, they had to sandblast the stealth coating off because its highly toxic and a lot of delicate parts like the wings leading edges were destroyed in the process
I as a Russian and like many other Eastern European players WANTED the F-117, and what do we get? Gaijin as always, added a unique technique, but uniqueness is not added, thank you! F-117 made sense to drive only because of its paint, shape and special metal composition that made radars unable to find it, but Gaijin just didn't add that....
@@technocraticconfederation2593 To be fair, the real one was also very vulnerable when it was close and when the bomb bay doors were open. The open bay doors ruin the stealth. But I agree, Gayjin will do anything possible to ruin it if they can. It's Gayjin....

It sucks because its warthunder. Stealth doesnt make you invisible. Usually you would be getting this close to SPAA with a stealth jet because they'd pick you up on radar. The radar profile is different depending on what part of the plane is facing the radar, and when youre this close it's going to pick up a lot of the bottom of the plane making it look large enough to be spotted. Also from top/bottom/rear stealth planes are not veyr stealthy. If they can see your exhaust a heat seaking missile is going to have no problem tracking you.
And now I want to play Black Ops and the Modern Warfare Trilogy... which is not a bad thing, other than the fact that I don't have the original Modern Warfare, just 2 & 3...
So from what I can tell thus far, the F117 is a piece of crap unless there's no semi-aware AA players, you're flying during a night battle or there are no enemy planes up lol

No maybe try going to ur war thunder folder and then to conifig and check if the read only button at the properties (right click on file) is unchecked.

Turns out, there’s indeed some weird shit going on with the graphics. At one point, the AA was off, so I turned it on, went back into the test range, and almost threw up from how dogshit the graphics looked. Far objects have been significantly blurrier than before.
For good results (usually) I fly my F-117 at 17,000ft, 18,000ft is when con trails start. Lock a target that ISN'T ALREADY SURRONDED BY FRIENDLYS, Keep bomb bay CLOSED until seconds before your drop. OPEN, DROP, CLOSE, GTFO!
@literallyhuman5990 Isn't that a slill issue then? Not every plane should be fight head on. This is a stealt aircraft after all. And honestly, I love useless design. As a player that like suport class and stuff like that I'd love to have useless stuff. Like tanks with only ammo and trucks that supplies others. Big maps I could spot enemies for others. Spy planes I'll fly orbiting for hours. But yeah I guess others only wamt action
People are bored I think it's negativity from sheer boredom not really hate. I want more weird kitchy stuff like this in the game not more reskins as squadron vehicles
@lightdragon3127 I don't think it's a skill issue, it's the game's design that makes it useless. The more you go to higher BR and most modern bombers don't have anything to protect themselves other than its stealth, jammer, and the escorts. And on the other side, the game just grows more and more towards dogfighting with missiles and guns, thus making strategic bombers irrelevant. To add to that, I don't think the game is ready for stealth technology. And I do think F-22 and other stealth air superiority jets on it's generation and onwards will be irrelevant for War Thunder. Simply because it is just not ready for stealth technology yet. Or the game design makes stealth not really a thing

Can't lock a helicopter from 2km away but can lock this thing from 4km. Yup, this is totally working as intended.

@ exactly my problem, and graphics are also lower. not even talking about ping constantly going to +500
