i was building a jig in my mind that i could bang out glock strikers with in under 2 secs.lol. we arent paying these guys because they are jedi gunsmiths, its because they built the smart tools n can do these quick. very eye opening indeed.

I imagine that it's a super cool experience to watch something come together at the factory, and know it's yours. I was acquainted with a fellow who got to watch his Corvette get assembled at the factory. I've never experienced such a thing, but he said there's nothing like it, adding that everyone ought to have such an opportunity. Welcome to the club of the elite, of which I am not a member. I've heard about people getting cars as they come off the assembly line, I think that is pretty cool. The fact that Q offers customer build days is amazing too me. I think it is one of the coolest things in the industry.
Wow! Ivan, I am very excited for this series. I now hunt vicariously via TH-cam due to severe arthritis. No complaints; just life. I grew up in the 50s when we literally ate upland game as our meat source. Mom rarely purchased meat until the freezer was low on quail, squirrel, and cottontail 😊. And yes, we walked to school, up hill both ways, in deep snow! 😆Well, we did walk.
That thing is sweet - looks so light you'd probably forget it was there on the sling hiking through the back country. Really excited to see this series unfold and potentially some of your culinary skills! Awesome as always Ivan.

This is pretty damn cool you get the or at least get to use all this stuff that isn’t even in production yet. The mini fix we can all buy has a 22” barrel and is 224 Valkyrie. Sorry if I missed it, what caliber is this one? You can see why this rifle is so damn expensive, I mean maybe not for what it is but everything on here is basically proprietary except the grip and a couple springs.

Q - "The fix is the most innovative bolt action ever" can't hit out to 500 yards. Big fix will maybe push 1000 accurately. $3300 is Extremely expensive for a "super innovative" bolt gun that drops way off after 700-800 yards. The mini is just a novelty toy for airsoft assassins. You can build a big bore bolt gun the way you want it for the same price as that gun alone and shoot to a mile.
Proff that New Englanders still make guns, just not in New Haven -- darn it. Ivan, only Flatlanders say "rad," the word you are looking for around here is "wicked."

@@yeates26 There are rifles under $500 that are very capable of taking nearly any game animal you wish to eat. I take no issue with a craftsman taking a rich man's money by appealing to his ego. That is a sign of an evolved mind. 90% of hunters do so successfully, with $500 rifles.

I didn't care for it on paper or in video but in the hand I get it.. I told you a while ago I thought the rattler made more sense but I actually think I prefer the honey badger cause of the weight and balance. The rattler is a friggin brick of a tiny gun in comparison
Why? They are expensive and you have a gun that is useless to swap parts with any other AR 15. That is the reason the AR 15 is such an awesome platform. Hell, I gave away guns to my family members that were problematic calibers and guns that were not interchangeable with the other guns I own.
For starters, if you like it. People often overlook that most guns get bought because people just plain like them. Not because they are the "Best" at any given task. And people also overlook that it is perfectly fine to do that. Everyone is free to spend their money how they see fit. :)
I get that, but if you had a buddy ask you why you bought a gun, some explanation beyond " I just liked it" is usually in order. I get that many people buy stuff with zero clue what they are doing, or what they are buying. Being able to explain the cost difference between manufacturers and why one is a better way to go even though it is more expensive, that takes a little knowledge and it does help those who are looking to buy a gun and make the same good decision with their money. You were there, you have handled their product. If I ask you what you think and why it is a good decision to buy from them. Why is that a difficult thing for you to reply to? "You don't have to buy one", or "people just buy things because they like it". Why have a channel that shows guns if there is no working knowledge on your part?

Do you need bullet points? Small, lightweight, compact, a pistol for legalities, 1:5 twist 300 blk for heavy subsonics, ergonomic controls, bolt action (again for legalities in some places), readily available magazines, etc...

Kit Badger I’d be interesting in the 224. My current back country rifle is a 22-250 or .300 win mag depending on game. It’s easy for me to get above tree line where shots can be far.

Ya, out West is one thing. But most of the country hunts out of stands or on the edge of plowed fields. Ultimately close range shots.
I have said all along that the fix is nothing more than a bolt action ar15/10 and all you guys just suck it up!
