Bill burr should really see this video…..
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS OF FIRE SWEEP THROUGH MY HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAD!!!
Beams of fire sweap through my head.
haha! sounds like fireworks ;)
Meshuggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!
Thrusts of pain increasingly engaged
Sensory receptors succumb
For a moment I thought you were covering Meshuggah.
Dave Grohl plays the Herta throughout the Queens of the stoneage song “No one knows”
I guess Dave just figured it was about time someone paid homage to the Herta!
Hertas are everywhere lol
That's why Im here
Neil Peart played a variant of this in many songs and Alex Van Halen used on Hot for Teacher.
I really appreciate the slow mo look at the hands, especially as someone who has had to stop taking in-person lessons
This video is so fire! Plus they give you a path to similar rudiments.
Worked beautifully. In minutes. Thanks🎉
This is probably the best video I’ve found to understand the herta
Thanks so much!
Wow, love how you explain the mechanics of it all
Thanks! This is a great rudiment to learn and the mechanics are key. All the best.
You just have a way of explaining things that makes it seem really simple. You deserve way more subs
hows is it going😂
Excellent!
This made it so easy, thanks
Finally someone to explain this in a way I can understand!
Very appreciated
Love this! I've got a question, is it important to honour the accent on the first stroke of the pattern? I don't hear much, if any, dynamic difference in your rendition of the exercise and I'm left wondering whether it's best to just try to make them sound as even as possible first before adding any accented notes...?
Awesome video! It was new to me!!
Thanks Pierre! I picked up this one from Bruce Becker
“You might have to really work this one out, slowly, before it feels natural…”
😂 understatement of the century!!!
Excellent video - thanks!
The best rudiment imo
Damn you're great at explaining things
thank you!
I look at this as a triplet but on the accent stroke do a double stroke.
Very nice!
Thanks Eli! Hey we have the same name ;)
@@musiprofofficial4470Lol It's an honor! One day i will play drums and speak english just like you! Thanks for share and God bless you!!!
*sharing 😅
Expected to hear bleed by Meshuggah.. heard Bow down by BOO instead lol
My mind was blown when I realised it was basically just a push pull which was the secret to the speed
I used the herta in a bass drum pattern during a song my band recorded 10 years ago and just now learned that I played hertas incorrectly. This should make it easier to play. Thanks!
Bleed by Meshuggah
i wanna play esoteric surgery by gojira on guitar, my brain can't focus on this well so i'm trying to understand the drum so maybe i can do it.
Great, now play meshuggah - bleed
:D
BRRTA BRRTA BRRTA. xD
this comment is bill burr approved
Want to learn Bleed by Meshuggah. It led me here.
Can you show us this as Neil Peart plays it?
I've been doing hertas in my brain since forever but instructions are somehow confusing, weird.
This is definitely Billy Cobham style but, he does it with his hands where Tomas Haake does it with his feet….😳
Yeah. Playing Bleed hertsalot.
yeah I know i know. probably saw this joke somewhere, years ago.
Way easier to hear and play in cut time
We’re all here for Meshuggah huh
I don't think you were following that sheet music at the beginning lol
Maybe some day I’ll be able to play hot for teacher
yea i picked up finally after years of trying to wrk out what the hell was being played! Lucky I found the transcript which made it a breeze!
BLEED!
I’m here to play no one knows
Same ! It’s the only part left 😢
Did you get it? @fortnightlover2366
