If Reverse-Flash's theme is of a psycopath on a rampage, Zoom's is a good example of a Slasher Monster loose on the night. It combines sounds like quick heartbeats, reverberations, quick violin 'slashes', cello, synthetizers, loud drums and screeching strings. It's a theme that pumps with horror, not a single speck of Hope in front of the thing that runs in the Darkness.
that's why this theme is so badass
Prometheus' theme is also very slasher-y, which is another similarity between the two.

Kevin Sipos he wasn't obsessed with being faster at all if that was the case he woulda stole barrys speed instead of trying to kill him he just didn't want another flash in existence of his timeline. Zoom on the other hand was obsessed with being fast an the funny thing idk how he got so smart for a criminal. But he created v9 because he was obsessed and Eobard didn't do that.

I would have loved to have seen an episode where Reverse Flash and Zoom had a fight. like a battle to find out who the greatest flash villian is.

Black Flash is scary, but he doesn't have the same feral, animalistic cunning of Zoom. Hunter Zolomon fits the definition of a psychopath. I miss the OG Zoom.
I also want Zoom and Prometheus to team up somehow. No telling what those two psychos can do together. They could tear Barry and Oliver to pieces.
Well Black Flash is only a zombie with ultimate speedster abilities really.

4:20 Was when everyone knew Barry was in over his head. In my opinion, Zoom was made to look the most terrifying of the Flash’s enemies in that scene alone.

Zoom is such a ruthless villain!! A well-known "famous" serial killer on earth-2 who then gets the same powers of The Flash. That is a terrifying thought!

@Darth Sidious thawne in the comics is great, but cw ruined him. In season one thawne was easily better than zoom, but they brought him back every season which created plotholes. Objectively zoom is a better villain.

The problem with Zoom (and season 2) is that it came off of an amazing season 1. But not many people favor zoom as their favorite villain. Though he was menacing.
I wish season 4 had a more serious feel with a sinister villain and lots of mystery like season 1, 2 and even 3. Each episode of season 4 is treated more like a comedy than anything else.
Season 3 is terrible. Savitar is a terrible villain
Reverse flash is from the future. Reverse flash is known to go through time and possibly dimensions as we hear him speak of Hunter from Legends of Tomorrow. Therefore, isn't it possible that he'd know about zoom? If he did, then Barry could have asked him in that one episode how to defeat zoom. Instead of killing the time wraith, he could have led it to zoom. #ideas
well thawne knows about different earths...he says to barry in 2x17 when barry goes back to meet him to get the speed force equation that they arent the only two speedsters there...also when cisco sees 2 barry's he says doppleganger on which flash says not yet and thawne is like no man dont just say that and screw the timeline ...
the only thing is that reverse flash would have known about different earths and different speedsters exist but not everyone as in original timeline maybe flash wouldnt have encountered zoom ...breach to earth 2 was opened by the blackhole exploding and eddies death..maybe in original timeline barry travels to e2 by accident and there he is faced by zoom so rev flash wouldnt have known his encounter with him
because thawne always says time always recreates tragedies...maybe due to the breaches of e2 opening up flash just had to encounter him more early than he would have in original timeline thus exposing zoom to earth1 as he wasnt stronger but one thing is for sure now due to this effect the paradox thawne will know what has happened to barry in s1 and s2 and he will plan accordingly
@@JorahtheAndal i think that changed coz when barry goes back to wells for the second time with nora he knows about savitar and bcoz savitar was created due to flashpoint so that makes zoom the part of the whole timeline and hence i think eobard knew and as we see him say "ITS MY CUE TO LEAVE" when he sees jay's hat was also not a coincidence...it is just a thing that coz he changed the timeline he got his memories back of the new timeline and of what he read about the flash..so i guess he did knew zoom
Would love to hear a medley of the Flash, Reverse Flash, and Zoom all in one. Also, separate extended medleys for Zoom and The Reverse Flash since both were kind of short.

If they had kept him dead in season and waited to bring him back in the final season then I can ignore the plotholes, but he comes back every season and brings in more plotholes with him.

Name taken from Hunter Zolomon/Zoom, personality taken from Daniel West and The Rival, blue lightning taken from Rival and Cobalt Blue (if I remember correctly) and appearance based on the Black Flash. Did they just give up trying to pick a villain and just put every speedster in a blender?

Still, I think they should have went with the name Edward Clariss (but called him Zoom, 'cause the Rival is a stupid name) so they could introduce Hunter Zolomon later as the Earth-1 Zoom. Hated the way "The Rival" was portrayed in season 3. He was cool (aside from the mask) for two episodes and then he was killed off.

There were some good villains in the early seasons. Reverse Flash was unsettling, but Zoom was TERRIFYING. Plot armor kept everyone alive when RF was around, but it felt like NOBODY was safe around Zoom.
Watch the CC Jitters "fight" against if you doubt me. Poor officers never stood a chance.

I wanted this version of Zoom to be more darker, it is, however I wanted a heartbreaking and psychologically insane origin story, they did it however I wanted the director to give Zoom more screen time with a insanely twisted plot of origin.
