Savitar was a very interesting villain (I still prefer Zoom). I think he would have been far more effective if they had revealed who he was sooner. It also didn't 100% help him that he had a complicated origin. But in all fairness, I love seeing Grant Gustin play the villain.

Pretty sure that they'll make a similar story for what happend in the comics, Barry was in the speedforce for 20 years and Wally took over the Flash mantle in the mean while. But I highly doubt he'll be in the there for 20 years. Barry might be in speedforce for the first few episodes, maybe until the mid-season finale.

I wonder, since they've been following the comics pretty precisely, if they'll make a living embodiment of the speed force that Barry has to fight. Cause in the comics that was so cool. +S. Rogers I cant tell if that is a joke that didn't translate well, or a genuine question from someone unfamiliar with the Arrowverse? If it is the latter, Prometheus was the main villain of season 5 of Arrow. He was an Archer personally targeting the Green Arrow because he killed his father during the events of the first season. He took the name Prometheus from Greek Mythology because he felt his motives translated well with Prometheus'; to destroy the Gods.
Savitar was a great villain with amazing build-up, but it didn’t deliver in the last few episodes imo, also would’ve been better if savitar showed up more and the reveal was a little earlier and explored Barry as the villain more
Tbh, in this season, they made the Savitar and Alchemy (esspecially Alchemy) so easy to understand who they are, it wasnt as hype as season 1. I understanded that Julian was Alchemy in the first damn episode. It was just too obivius.
They nailed Reverse Flash in season 1, and even though they completely screwed up Hunter Zolomon in Season 2, he was still a compelling antagonist. Savitar was absolutely the worst translation of an incredible Flash villain to the show. What a huge disappointment.
