I came to Australia in 1994 from North America. Lived in the suburb of Brunswick, and straight away fell in love with AFL, thanks to my huge Carlton supporter neighbours. I remember walking to princess park and watching games that 1995 season, when we won the flag, oh man what a feeling as a 10 year old kid! Thought I was going to see more success, but has not been the case. Really hope Voss and the players can bring us supporters some joy, it’s been way too long.
Carlton was in a class of their own all season. An absolute juggernaut of a team one of the greatest teams of all time. Watched this with my Dad that Saturday in September. Such a special day and Dad and I were elated. Our boys had brought home a 16th flag
Being born and bred in Geelong with my family full of Geelong supporters, me being the odd one it was Blues before anything else as a little kid, 1995 was such a special year. Although watching it at home up where we were living at the time my wife, convert, and 3 sons all true blue supporters had the best day. It is a life highlight for me and brings back happier memories from my life. Thanks boys.
We were living in the country too. My first memory was of Dippa before the game started tipping the Cats and then saying "those Carlton players have a crazy look in their eyes" I knew then we would win. But the best part of it was sticking it to the father inlaw a big Geelong supporter. I even go pleasure of telling my family, Geelong Supporters that their star Gary Goalless was not a god after all.
Living in the county only 11 when Carlton won this our last Premiership. Our family Blues through and through our neighbors at the time Cats supporters. This was such a sweet victory the rivalry and words exchanged between our two family's leading up to this made this win epic for us. How I wish to relive this with another premiership win SOON Carlotn. Navy Blue forever.
I don't barrack for either team but I remember how awful this match was. Geelong simply didn't compete, though their form going in was excellent (they won both their finals by 80 points). I also remember Jim Main writing a column after Carlton's 1994 finals disaster titled "You'll Never Buy Another Flag" - I'm sure it was pinned to the dressing room wall on GF day.
That was one of the strongest Carlton team we ever had if not the strongest, so much talent. What happened to Carlton, MMalthouse really planned carlton to go down the toilet well, selling off all the good players. Why is Carlton struggling so much.
Such a great side star-studded Kernahan, Williams, Bradley, Silvagni, Koutoufides, but I think the 79-82 and 68-72 sides were just a little bit better. . Hopefully, we can have another great side in the 2020s think where building well though stars in Cripps, Docherty and Curnow and future stars in Fisher, Dow, McKay, Walsh , Setterfield, Petrevski-Seton, McGovern, Marchbank and Weitering.
@@MrOzgooner I agree. John Elliot their president who was fired, because he was responsible for playing players under the table, and the blues lost 1st or 2nd round picks, and were fined, which could have possibly lead to their down fall. But instead they convienently blame a 3× Premiership leader..LoL

And that night I ended up at the Metro nightclub and partied with Kouta and Ange who were there as well.

They will and probably a fair few, Their time is coming again so do not worry.
Didn’t age well
Geelong. De-trousered, bent, lubed, spread and reamed. Chock-a-block up to the hilt with Carlton schlong. Their 16th flag. None have won more.
Rhett Broadby probably not that many.
