Man I have to get your schedule ahead of time so I can make sure to be here. Missed you live, my friend, but I'm SO SO glad you're continuing to do these! The other beautiful thing about the glue bloom recipe is that, unlike ausie flo, glue won't sour over time. I see you and your Barry White whispers, you *giggle* I think this would look AMAZING in a floating frame. I love the negative space. Also, I always say "there is no failure, only learning" LOVE YOU MY FRIEND!
Just the right amount of negative space on this painting I love it. I’m really excited that you’re going to use different types of titanium white for cell activators because I’ve been having a heckuva time with it. PS my favorite black paint for cell activator is cheap. Walmart black paint works the best for me., but the white not even lol
Once again an absolutely instructive making of video. The outcome of your bloom spun out is gorgeous. Many thanks for sharing your experiences by posting excellent videos like this Garrick👍🏻⭐️🙂
Good experiment. I wold put the gold underneath the black cell activator and bet that would give you nice cells. Or put the Aussie floetrol in the gold.
Hi I love the negative space Garrick. Also the gold popped through in a very cool way. It is almost a backdrop in that area. I love this on a larger scale. Beautiful ❤
So... I wonder what would happen if you flipped colors for cell reaction? Like black with glue and gold with aus floetrol? Love your experimental soul!
Interesting experiment. Maybe put the black on top of the gold, and see what happens?😊 I have trouble, when I use Minwax Polycrylic Gloss to seal paintings where I used glue in the PM. Terrible crazing. Why? Thanks, Garrick. I love your videos. Tell your Producer... great job!😊
There is a lot to experiment imo, for instance is very titanium white or just Amsterdam one? So Amsterdam golden would work (or another brand)? Maybe some course need to be of a particular brand some of another?
Gorgeous Garrick❤. I tried the glue recipe with Tri-Art liquid paints and didn’t get much of a reaction, especially the white.. just wondering if you have tried them?
@@GarrickBrownArtStudio Thanks - I understand that but do you add the cell activator in all of your colours? Say if you did white, red, orange and yellow , would you add the medium to each colour?
@@lewisrose9802 No. Cell Activator is in addition to your colors. You don't mix it with anything. You place that on top if your colors and blow out. The paints are mixed with a pouring medium.
@@GarrickBrownArtStudio I was just trying to confirm because of some of your videos you're referring to the pouring mediums as the cell activator so it's a little confusing. How exactly do you differentiate? So you're saying the cell activator could be a similar mix but it's just simply the one you place on top? It doesn't apply in a open cup because people are getting cells with method too. Sorry for the questions , I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just intrigued.
@lewisrose9802 no i dont mind the questions. The open cup technique is completely different from blooms. There are multiple ways to get cells. A difference in paint densities helps cells to form in open cup. Cell activator is not required for an open cup. It is its own recipe. Your pouring medium varies. Where you are lrobably getting co fused is the ratio is the same... 3:1 but while the ratio is the same the products are not. 3 parts australian floetrol to 1 part paint is the cell activator recipe while 3 parts pouring medium to one part paint is for paints used to make blooms. What technique are you currently working in?
😂 You crack me up with your hilarious interjections! Don't stop being you!
Love you my friend! ❤
Always! Thanks for watching friend!
Amazing and so helpful tutorial for those who can't afford to buy such expensive paint supplies, sir Garrick 🙏💜,thank you for your amazing guidance 🙏😊
You are more than welcome friend!!
You are a great teacher. I would love to study under your guidance. I love you. And your art.

simply beautiful Garrick. Perfect amount of negative space. And with the negative space at the top, it reminds me of an iris flower. Love it!
Thanks brother!!!! I love an iris!!

Love it. And definitely enough negative space. I was worried that you were going to keep tilting.
Thanks Lesley!! Love me some negative space.

I'm a fan of the negative space. The gold is kinda cool.
I love it too ! Thanks for watching!!!
Beautiful 😍
Love the negative space!
Me too Carol!!
Lookin good, more water for the gold will do it 😍
Yes I am going to keep playing hopefully with an updated video.
Beautiful painting ans advice on the cell activator
By the way, this is beautiful ❤
Gorgeous Garrick❤. I tried the glue recipe with Tri-Art liquid paints and didn’t get much of a reaction, especially the white.. just wondering if you have tried them?
Oh no! I haven't tried the Tri-Art paints but I can. I have the heavy body... Were you using the heavy body or fluid acrylics?
@@GarrickBrownArtStudio they were fluid. Maybe that’s the problem. I bought Tri-Art specifically because I heard they were so good as a cell activator
They tube paint is. I did an experiment several months ago @kathyz8203 th-cam.com/video/GaxIVzdZ8R0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jS9iCztY9g8HItzw
Just right - I like it.
Thank you so much
What do you mix with the color ? Water
Pouring medium th-cam.com/video/yxzP3ZVMZfE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1NSEOfyTrmKzbjN6
I think it is beautiful and just perfect amount of negative space.
Thank you so much Betina!
Are you mixing anything in your colored paint for it to be do fluid? My masters touch tube paint is THICK when it comes out😫 help please. Thank you
Yes you need to mix it with a pouring medium to thin it and make it fluid. This is a step by step: th-cam.com/video/yxzP3ZVMZfE/w-d-xo.html
@@GarrickBrownArtStudio thank you👍
Merci!
Is this paint kinda thick? Ice yet to try th8s technique
Yes it is thick!
So do you use cell activator in just some of your colours as apposed to all the colours you're going to use in a piece
Cell activator is its mixture in addition to the colors you are using to pour on your substrate.

😎
Don't use any Australian Floetrol and see how many cells you get. PVA glue is not a cell activator.
