In my experience, benzos were the worst withdrawals I've ever had. My heart is with you, sir. It can be done.

methadone is a real nasty one , getting taken off the streets in the 90sbecause of warrants and being trown in jail in Liverpool for a few weeks to await court was real nasty , the symptoms can go on for months , they peak for about 5 weeks !, though Lorazepam [ativan ] a really strong barbituate like benzo had withdrawal worse than any apparently .

Good luck on your journey. I had a similar experience with pain pills for my back, knees, ankles, and feet. My only advice would be just keep going. It's a life advice that can be used in different situations.
Stay safe. Take care. Have fun. 😎

Well done and good luck. I became addicted to Valium in my early teens. Was given it by my doctor to treat my anxiety. After a couple of years my doctor refused to give me anymore and I went cold turkey. It was awful, the shaking and sweating. Unable to sleep yet exhausted and through the roof anxiety. The same doctor eventually got struck off. Chamomile tea helps me relax these days. I'm rooting for you!

I just assumed the night sweats was a detox process. It happens once and a while for me. They say that sweating is really important during this. Makes you feel better.

Hold it down stay strong and keep a positive attitude which I see you have, I had a terrible addition to Morphine pills, diazepam's and other things, I found it brutal getting clean had lots of failed attempts but 7 years on I made it, been clean for the poisoning pills for years, one day at a time brother one day at a time it gets better I promise, stay safe.

I tapered from 20-30 mg valium a day (for 20 years) to 5 mg a day for a week. Then .25 mg for a week and then 0. This was way too fast but that's what the doc said to do. Damn him. It opened up such horrific symptoms that I nearly did not make it. I am off 15 months now. I still have some very dark and intrusive thoughts such as I had during acute and then secondary withdrawal. I hope and pray every day that I won't somehow fall back to where I was in that agony.
I am currently for the last 100 days or so going through a terrible bought of weakness. I can barely get out of a car. I have aged 10 years in the past year. I look and feel like I'm 100 years old.
If there is a feeling one gets when they are dying, it is what I'm feeling right now. I feel like I'm dying. I wish it would stop.

I completely understand where you’re coming from. Just remember you will heal you just have to give it time. Naturally, our bodies do not need this medication so we have to let it get back to homeostasis. This can take some time, but you will gradually feel better and better. Just hang in there and keep focused on the future. And smile for me. 💪🏻😎

@@elijahsbenzojourney1705 Thank you for the kind words. I was in a deep funk when I wrote that. Better now. Every time I think I'm stuck on stupid, I get better after a day, 2 days, a month. But I always do get better.

Yeah, that’s totally normal. Remember, it’s windows and waves. When you have a window, you know that your body is healing trying to rebalance itself.

@@elijahsbenzojourney1705 I had a window about a month ago where I was in a state of bliss. For three days! I hoped it would last forever but of course it didn't.
      This too shall pass.

I will be starting my valium taper soon. I'm in acute withdrawal from my previous doctor rapid tapering me. I need to stabilize but I don't know how long it's gonna take to stabilize.

    • @elijahsbenzojourney1705

I was the same way. I held for 6 months before I started my taper.

@elijahsbenzojourney1705 wow that's a long time. I'm wondering if it's taking so long because I didn't jump back up to my starting dose of 25mg but am at 20mg right now for the past 3 weeks. I was rapid tapered from 25mg Valium to 15mg in 4 weeks. I'm a wreck right now

I'm doing a valium taper too, from 10mg down to 6mg in 3 months, anyone else experienced elevated blood pressure?

    • @gaynzz6841
      @gaynzz6841 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

most likely that is caused by the increased (subjective) stress
