- A while back I did a speedrun where I got every character possible into Dirtmouth. Today, our aim is to instead get every possible character into the afterlife. Join the quest of the smallest grimm reaper to cause every Hollow Knight NPC's death as soon as possible. May their sacrifice summon Silksong

Skurry is one of the chillest TH-camrs I have ever seen, incredibly rare person
voice pitch and accent have some effect on the effect spoken words have, but harsh enough words still push through with added whiplash from kind voices

Would be intresting if there was a mod for this that made it so all enemies didn't respawn and hunters journal kill amounts were he total number of that enemy.

true honestly, I wish someone would make a mod that adds g-route where basically if you oof every boss and enemy and npc you would get a different ending (and it could also add/change a couple boss fights, like imagine hornet 2 deciding to go all out on you, much more than usually)

Ive made zote dead, made leg eater dead, ascended seer, dreamnailed all ghosts and whispering roots, and ive also killed every being that stays dead pernamently including every buggsac and others and also have destroyed every object that stays destructed! Hell i even defeated white defender 5 times so dung defender leaves and maybe dies! Its like a 112% playthrough on steel soul but like mich more evil! Oh and yeah hunter's mark, nkg, and hollow knight and radiance lore entries are also there. 14+ hours it took!

While getting Monomon to kill Quirrel, Skurry also killed Moss Prophet.
He should have gotten all the grubs too. It's implied the grubfather dies when all grubs are found, and he should probably count

@Bridge Seller if you do all grubs grubfather will die as a result of your actions so it still counts.
You dont kill Tiso either but you are able to cause the events that cause him to go die.

But we all know the most evil that can happen in a speedrun is not saving the grub in Beast's Den
For next year (while still waiting for silksong) would you consider doing a Genocide+ run in which you also kill menderbug, ascend the seer, dreamnail all the spirits (including revek), kill NKG, get all the grubs (so they can be eaten), finish flower quest to dissipate grey mourner, and get the siblings ending to kill hornet (or beat P5 to kill godseeker) on steal soul to kill Tuk? Also would it be possible to do that without visiting sly?
getting all the grubs would just turn grubfather into cocoon and then grubby become grubberfly so better to only release the mimics

You didn't kill menderbug, who fits in perfectly with your ruleset. Alive at the beginning, can die from your actions only

This isn't the "genocide" route... Is the "emotional damage" route
Another fun fact about Zote:
If you complete the arena before saving him from Deepnest, he doesn't end up stealing your girlfriend.

I like the genocide route idea, but I think a better name for this run would be Reaper %. Because you're leading the NPCs to their deaths rather than killing everything in sight

I think some sort of "Tax Evasion%" run where you spend 0 geo/as little geo as possible would be an interesting run
0 geo gathering swarm runs exist for TAS, 0 geo exists for humans

Skurry, I just wanted to say that I'm honestly amazed that after all this time, you're still able to entertain and make me laugh in every single HK video, even if technically they all show you just playing the same indie game over and over. I know that most of the comments on this video are going to be people talking about how they would define the run. But I'm going to use what Skurry said as a base. I think everything Skurry did was fine except I think you need to kill mender bug and get the bad ending.

Zote - do I even need to explain
Myla - she was infected regardless and if anything it was probably a mercy killing.
Cloth - we helped her be a warrior and she died a warriors death
Quirrel - died of old age
Tiso - died of battle
Nailsmith - now this is arguable about being evil but he did wish for death and even tho their is a better option, fufling his wish is still justifiable.
Leg eater - we got a bro laided, we did the right thing

Ok hear me out, True Genocide%, kill absolutely anything you can and never bench so that enemies don't respawn. I'm talking npcs, normal enemies, bosses, etc, until there is nothing left standing.
Hornet should be on the list if you do the "sealed siblings" ending. I feel like that would be fair game if Quirrell was.
*Some explanations as to why certain characters were likely left out of this.*
The Seer: Doesn't leave a corpse, instead bursting into essence
Ze'Mer/Grey Mourner: Doesn't leave a corpse, instead bursting into light
Hornet: Doesn't actually die during Sealed Siblings, she just becomes a Dreamer
The grubs: Theorised to not die, but instead undergo metamorphosis
Aw, no Hornet locked in with you forever? :D Anyway, this genuinely seems like a pretty fun route to run, I really enjoy the cleverness that goes into keeping it tightly routed and going through multiple different kinds of gameplay.
Zote is sans, and the knight is Papyrus. I refuse to elaborate.

If Skurry would want to push a run like this to its limits, he would do "dialogue percent", where he has to get every character's dialogue
You could have also done the Sealed Siblings ending to add Hornet to the fatalities.

You may not be able to kill hornet, but you are able to seal her in the temple of the black egg for all eternity. Honestly it sounds a lot worse than death but that’s neither here nor there
Turns out quirrel is dead and that's because he always tells you about how important your nail is but when he is "missing" his nail is left there

I felt like you should have done the Sealed Siblings ending because you can argue Hornet died in that ending.
Something about this speedrun really made me realize how much effort you put into your content. Of course I've been a fan for a while now and have seen all the wild stuff you do, but this is just a very polished creation that also includes rampant murder. Nice work Skurry!

You can technically kill 2 or more npcs, 1 by doing the flower quest, and 2 by doing pantheon 5, perhaps with the godseeker having the flower to make sure

Could the godseeker count? Idk if they are alive on game start, but they certainly seem to be after doing a bit of godhome, and IMO they die after the embrace the void ending, or at least after Embrace The Void With Flower ending

For anyone slightly more insane than Skurry here's another version of the Geno Route that is even more insane.
All the things Skurry already did, but you need to kill all Bosses(though only the ones that are alive and that you kill), get all Dreamers, and for the final most insane requirement:
You must do at least one run across the entire map of Hallownest and kill every "Large" enemy without benching. Large enemies are defined as enemies that only respawn if you bench, so at the end you should be able to walk around all of Hallownest while only encountering small enemies.
It would be funny if someone made a mod that prevents any enemy from spawning if you killed them already at some point. At the end the entire map would be completely empty

Well, grey mourner isnt clear if she dies, and menderbug doesn't have lines so Isnt reall an npc
@@kitchaos1118 Grey Mourner's last line is literally "Che' too can end." followed by her vanishing into white light.
Skurry says that "Every character that is alive at the start of the run, and I can do something to cause them to die, that counts as a kill." so Menderbug is still on the chopping block by that ruleset.

Though it was mentioned several times, I am curious what other characters could be killed. I saw one comment with the sealed siblings ending, and I was thinking about collecting all grubs to have grubfather devour everyone too. What else am I missing? I’m sure I’m missing tons.
This is very similar to a "ghost town" run I've been meaning to do forever. The goal is to kill every NPC and single-instance enemy (like the Moss Knight at Lake Of Unn or the Gorgeous Husk) possible, while also maximizing spirits/ghosts.

You can technically kill Bretta by saving Zote and Bretta, beating Zote in the Colosseum so that he comes to Dirtmouth and beating Gray Prince Zote 4 times so she leaves. Considering she's defenseless and she went to the Howling Cliffs, she went on a suicide mission.
It's either that or kill Zote though, so it's the same number of deaths either way. And given you literally see Zote dead while there's a non-zero chance Bretta survives offscreen...
@@blunderbus2695 Yeah, that is true, out of the two evils, you kill the bigger evil.
Although, we don't exactly see Quirrel dead. Plus, Bretta was headed to beyond the Howling Cliffs, leaving Hallownest, which would effectively make her go back to her primal instincts, since she would no longer be under the Pale King's aura, which expands the minds of the bugs.

True Genocide: Kill every enemy in every room AT LEAST once, unless that means that you will not get a killable NPC killed, DO NOT buy Salubra's Blessing, kill EVERY lost warrior (and yes, this does mean survive Revek) Destroy the... Uh... Whatever that Community Shrine was. DESTROY THE WHOLE THING! Spare Broken Vessel and all the Dreamers until the previous requirements (that can be) have been done in Crossroads. Lose to the Radiance right before winning, then go all the way back and do the 5 Pantheons, getting a Victory, right..? WRONG. Do the entire hall, at all difficulties, and finally, to close off the run... Sealed Siblings.
