  • A week spent on Carnival Jubilee, sailing out of Galveston, Texas, with friends during Easter and Spring Break, March 30 - April 6th. We booked a Havana room #8277 which included a private pool and outdoor bar for Havana guest 12 and over. Some of the highlights for drinks on the ship was at Dr. Inks, Ph.D., Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse, Redfrog Tiki Bar and Alchemy Bar. The top restaurants we enjoyed were Chabang, Cucina del Capitano, Big Chicken, BBQ and Guy's Pig & Anchor, Coastal Slice and Beach buns. All week they had great entertainment and activities such as the Piano Bar, Punchliner Comedy, Family Feud, largest casino we have seen on a ship, Grand Central and the must do rollercoaster, Bolt on Carnival. In Roatan, Honduras we hired a private driver at the taxi line for $45 pp for the day and he took us on a tour of the island with stops at the Chocolate Factory and Roatan Island Brewing. After the tour of the island, we went back to Mahogany Bay where they have a beach and activities for Carnival guest. In Cozumel, we thoroughly enjoyed Del Mar Latino Beach Club all-inclusive day pass. It's ADULTS-ONLY beach club, walking distance from the cruise port with excellent service. It was a nice change from Paradise Beach and Mr. Sanchos beach club. In Costa Maya, we spent a few hours in port and relaxed in the pool overlooking the cruise ships. Jubilee is a beautiful ship, and we enjoyed our time on it. Thanks again for watching and leave us a comment.

Booked for January! We did Celebration last February and liked a lot about it. Jubilee sure looks prettier. On the balcony situation, unless I'm mistaken, the only balconies on the whole ship that are actually over the water are the coves. We had a deck 9 suite on Celebration and it was the worst balcony we've ever had. No cover, everyone on the decks above look right down on you, bright white awning just below us. Suite was a casino comp, because I'd never pay my own money for that cabin. Cabin itself was awesome though, and the location was perfect for getting around on the ship. Jubilee we have connecting cove balconies booked and I am so excited! Chilling on my balcony is one of my favorite things about cruising. Totally my happy place. Thanks for the vid! pst...ROW uh tan. In my top three favorite ports. There is SO much to do there if you go looking, worth multiple visits and even a land vacation. Divers say on par with the Great Barrier Reef.

Doing this cruise in December. We have never been in a Havana room but we're doing the Ultra Cruise with a balcony.

Is there a convenient shuttle at the port parking? First time cruising from Galveston in December. These knees aren't what they used to be.

This particular parking garage doesn't offer a shuttle that I'm aware of. We usually drop luggage off at the port, and one of us will park the car. We have parked at EZ Cruise and they do have a shuttle. They just don't have covered parking. Here is their website:
