As a mother of a 10-year-old, I'd only be bothered that my daughter wanted something by J*. In this household, we talk frankly about sex, sexuality, relationship types (I'm polyamorous and heteroflexible, her father is mono and straight as can possibly be), etc. She knows what orgies are (and that they're for adults), and she knows what most things are, and yet her innocence as a child isn't ruined for it. Cremated is awesome and sold out in 20 minutes . this launch has a higher price tag, a name that can make it difficult for some to get around ( minors asking their parents ) ( others cant promote it without being demonitized for simply saying the name) , and others already have pallets with similar shades so even disregarding covid the odds were stacked against it even if it was released by someine else and not jeffree...personally I would have loved those new lipstick shades but im not paying 160 for shades I already have just to get the 4 i want . a cute concept for the vault but not done with the repeat buyer in mind .

I emailed the JS customer service and they told me that they are “working to make the new formula perfect, and they are using special binders which causes the shadows to “pebble” but that in no way affects the product”. Middle of pandemic yes. $70 for eyeshadow, nope. The large Pan, all the colors run together and every single shade is matte. Then, if you want the shimmer shades, you gotta get the mini pallette, which is defective.

That is a good comparison and while I am the type of person to separate the art from the artist, the difference for me is that the money when you buy directly from brands like j* just go straight to his pockets but the money earned from streaming a song goes to the streaming platform, the producer, the label, and many people before getting to the artist. And you’d make more money from 5 people buying your $70 pallet than 5 people streaming your music once in a while anyways.
Tbh, when I'm faced with it, if they're deceased, then I feel more inclined to separate the art from the artist but when theyre alive and have the opportunity to actually change is when I dont have a problem not supporting a brand or person if that makes sense?

Omg! I just got my mini yesterday and I was so excited for the first 3 colors and I couldn’t get a swatch with glass wet!! I was digging my finger in and it has a hard plastic feel! MAC fix plus couldn’t even help it...all I got was glitter residue but NO color. I’m glad it’s not just me dealing with this.

I have another mini jefree pallet (it was a gift I didn’t use my own money) and I agree the pigment is also really bad, and the glitter in the eyeshadow doesn’t show up. Having this pallet I didn’t understand how people thought his makeup was good and I’m glad others are seeing it
Somehow I managed to find the lunar beauty blush palette at a nearby Sephora in Ontario, and it’s truly one of the best blush formulas I’ve ever tried. Hope that he can find a new Canadian retailer because those glosses are calling to me ✨

Yikes! The last palette I bought from JSC was the Alien palette. I felt like something was off way back then. Cracks, lumps, the packaging was a disaster because it would often close at an angle and hit the shadows. But they were dry and hard to use. I'm so glad I stopped supporting him. Even the mini palette is pretty expensive! I feel really bad for the people that spent their money during this hard time only to get junk. Maybe people will realize that JSC is not the be all and end all of makeup and we can all buy better products from better companies ran by better people.

Cremated is awesome and sold out in 20 minutes . this launch has a higher price tag, a name that can make it difficult for some to get around ( minors asking their parents ) ( others cant promote it without being demonitized for simply saying the name) , and others already have pallets with similar shades so even disregarding covid the odds were stacked against it even if it was released by someine else and not jeffree...personally I would have loved those new lipstick shades but im not paying 160 for shades I already have just to get the 4 i want . a cute concept for the vault but not done with the repeat buyer in mind .

Middle of pandemic yes. $70 for eyeshadow, nope. The large Pan, all the colors run together and every single shade is matte. Then, if you want the shimmer shades, you gotta get the mini pallette, which is defective.

Good question! This is my personal take on this: i wont be more or less critical of his products than anybody elses. I however wont be buying them even if theyre great because i dont want my money to go to him. Whats your opinion on this?
That is a good comparison and while I am the type of person to separate the art from the artist, the difference for me is that the money when you buy directly from brands like j* just go straight to his pockets but the money earned from streaming a song goes to the streaming platform, the producer, the label, and many people before getting to the artist. And you’d make more money from 5 people buying your $70 pallet than 5 people streaming your music once in a while anyways.
Tbh, when I'm faced with it, if they're deceased, then I feel more inclined to separate the art from the artist but when theyre alive and have the opportunity to actually change is when I dont have a problem not supporting a brand or person if that makes sense?

Yikes! The last palette I bought from JSC was the Alien palette. I felt like something was off way back then. Cracks, lumps, the packaging was a disaster because it would often close at an angle and hit the shadows. But they were dry and hard to use. I'm so glad I stopped supporting him. Even the mini palette is pretty expensive! I feel really bad for the people that spent their money during this hard time only to get junk. Maybe people will realize that JSC is not the be all and end all of makeup and we can all buy better products from better companies ran by better people.
