Beautiful lesson! Shabbat Shalom. There was likely a total Solar Eclipse prior to Jonah's message to Nineveh, which is likely how quick all of them repented. GOD knew beforehand that the Gentiles would repent. And HE would use that knowledge to teach Jonah that even idol worshippers needed to hear the truth of the one true GOD. And they should have the oportunity to accept or reject.
Didn't humanity know from the very start that there is only one true G'D? The son's of Noah also learned this - even by experience. BUT by doing their own will - not HaSchems will - G'D constantly had to distroy the fruits of their wicked plans! Ergo: There are people who do not WANT a G'D! The pegan people live all around us!
According to the Dead Sea Scrolls, Nineveh is Jerusalem. Babylon is Rome, and Damascus is also Rome. (the damuscus document ) The land of the Chaldeans was also Babylon, “related to Kittim.” this will destroy jerusalem ( Commentary on Habakkuk, Dead Sea Scrolls
He is not the Fatherof all man kind bc even Yahshua said to some “your father is the devil”. He has his chosen children bc no one can come to the Father, unless the Son reveals it! There’s nothing that we can boast on! Not even the faith bc it’s a gift from Yah.
Agree. In order to be a "son of God," one must be a direct creation of YHVH. Angels are called sons of God (Book of Job). Among men, only Adam was a son of God (Luke 3). The Gospel of John states that through Yeshua we are given the power to BECOME children of God. We do this by being born again (John 3:8; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
