These are a favorite in my family! I have to agree with you, they are a finicky cookie to make. I have never been able to double a batch either. Also, just like when making a sugar candy the humidity will affect them! If it’s too humid they will not set up. I also don’t know that I’ve ever added the same amount of oats. I always eyeball them at the end until it looks right.

I use margarine and coconut milk for my dairy free grandsons and no peanut butter ( allergic). They turn out fine. I've also seen boil times from 3 to 5 minutes. Use quick oats, doesn't work out as well withminute oats.
I was watching today and many other baking videos and thought you should get yourself an adjustable measuring cup for solids , it slides up and down makes measuring things like peanut butter and crisco so easy . I use mine all the time .

Hi Heather these no bake cookies look yummy. I understand your anxiety when it comes to recipes like this. Being from Wisconsin we like bars along with cookies... 😂😂😂 One of my favorite bars is the Scotcharoos. Those are a finicky bar. If you heat the ingredients too much the bars are rock hard.
If you college age kids want to could you please show us some of the recipes & how they would be made in a dorm or collage apartment? I learned to cook when I was in college & I think that is the majory of young people.

But, I'm going to have to wait just a little bit longer because, I was in a serious car accident in June and the doctors say it's going to be like March before I'm completely healed. But that's all right cuz when it gets here I can study it and know it front and back and sideways and upside down and I can cook it all when my body allows!!!!

Have you ever heard of or had chocolate and biscuit? I know it’s a southern thing. Actually a regional thing, but it’s wonderful. It’s a chocolate gravy that’s made from scratch. It is nowhere near the same as chocolate syrup.
Has she ever said why she doesn't have a dishwasher? Just curious if it's a personal preference or something to do with the blueprint of the kitchen etc..
How are you what all afternoon since 11 o'clock Non-stop The only one that didn't come up on TV is her dad your husband putting her thing on her arm yet more likely look for it after dinner chicken leg , leg back mix vegetables pasta And salary salt I don't eat enough salary or keep it save my money .
