    I have been building this for a while and I think its safe to say Nilaus is a minimalist. Form over function every time. This build takes a LONG time to charge. Mechanical parts are just one epic bottle neck. Even in use some things run out constantly. Get around this by using buffers at the back of the factories for things like mechanical parts and wire - in addition to going to 4 assemblers for critical components. This way when your replenishing your boxes you dont run dry of intermediates like wire etc, which in turn doesnt bottleneck your production of components you desperately need. With the added bonus you can take a stack of 500 copper components, I dont know, because you need belts and havent built that part yet.

    I love this bus design. So easy!

    Hey Nilaus, you can turn the assemblers 90 degrees for the processors, so you can fit more of them in a row. I always use the short input side of the assemblers for slow recipes, as you don't need a super fast input. Just a thought :)

    I really want to see what you would come up with now that they have base building and vertical belts! 😊

    Hi @Nilaus, can you build some designs with monorail. It seems that ore from plant is infinite, just plant factories take lots of power. So when expanding ore smelting from plant, power expanding goes same amount. To me it looks like in end game you need dedicated cave with many floors with plant factories to produce ore. Thank you for this series. I am interested how big you will build.

    You'll eventually need to convert to limestone. The miners do cause the deposits to shrink. Copper, iron, and limestone at least.
    Really looking forward to a good thresher build though. My current is 20 planters, 6 and 8 (sets of two) threshers. It has trouble with filter inserters being so slow, however. Somewhat alleviated by alternating thresher facing on second stage to give 6 outputs per lane. two lanes merge giving 2 full belts (though probably not to ratio)
    Another issue is only mark two belts, so you have to run multiple belts out. 4 assemblers will empty a lane easily making scaling a challenge.

    If you use 1 line(stacked on top) yes it may be high, but you can use power floors to make "floors" with the bus to one side much like what you've done, but the items would "come out the walls" so to speak. Also if you encase the single line in powerfloors, deleting one from the wall makes it just as easy to branch off and is "cheaper and easier" to deal with. I do love the "waterfall/bleacher" bus styles wonderful work. I'm just curious to see the single bus build at the end level, I'm not quite there yet.

    I’ll have to give this build a shot! I’ve been sticking with a single layer bus like you were showing around 3, and struggling with the exact problems you’re describing 🤣😂

    Where are the inputs for the assemblers on the left side of the bleachers? I see Iron and Copper Ignots being produce and no inputs.

    Why aren't any of your monorail tracks connected? Can you explain or make a video about it? Or are they just not connected?

  • @ppdan
    @ppdan ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Instead of powered floors you can simply use stairs and put your belts on stairs.
    Doesn't look as nice but it's much easier and faster to build.

  • @callindrill

    To keep your symmetry and increase throughput of things like assemblers, just repeat the module. Sure, one is slow... But 5? It just makes the bus longer... Who cares?! 🤣
    Also, now that we have bleachers... I feel like the boxes with buildings in them are concession stands... 😉

    Re core composers: You just need one of them for the entire game. After it's "full", just erase it and build it in another spot. If you cut away the bottom two layers, you can build anything underneath your "floating cores".

    • @cbk882
      @cbk882 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with this idea seems to be, that cores only count for "core clustering" when they are built on a core composer (I heard so in another video). Could change over the versions but right now you need all cores on core composers.

    • @ppdan
      @ppdan ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cbk882 I think it's the other way arround. Cores don't need to be on composers but it will be a requirement in the future.

    The / is the "reverse" bleachers.

    i just want to know how the hell you going to get that 20k power needed for the next level lol i already have a ton of accumulators and got 2.9 ..now that i think will be a huge power plant

    • @juriscervenaks8953
      @juriscervenaks8953 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is somewhat easy way. 1-st floor over water is water generators, 2-nd accumulators, 3-rd smelters and so on. If you think you will need more accumulators, you can build more than 1 floor for them, or dig dirt in 1-st floor next where power generators end, and build them next to power generators. Haven't tested how large is the map.

    • @1Rictec
      @1Rictec ปีที่แล้ว

      @@juriscervenaks8953 we will need tons of accumulators to get to 20k all i already builded and they a lot of them got me to 2k when i say a lot is really a lot of them for 20k
