finally a non-australian acknowledging the difference between the aussie and kiwi accent! every australian impersonation ever is either “g’day mate, put a shrimp on the barbie” or just a straight up new zealand accent! just when i thought i couldn’t love saoirse more
I think it's just an american thing, they are just really really bad at accents, even the best american actors are terrible at learning accents, but they do dominate the world entertainment. IRL aussie and kiwi accents are so diffent, to me, aussies are lazy so they don't pronounce the whole thing just mumble it out, kiwis are crazy so they use weird pronounciations of words, OK I might have too many aussie friends.
stuart armstrong she's longtime friends with Rose McIver, who's from new zealand and worked with in The Lovely Bones, which was shot there. so thats probably how she got to know the difference.
Yeah, it's SO messed up! People are so ignorant, smfh! I can't stand it how people who don't live in America can't tell the difference in southern accents between Missouri and Mississippi, it's borderline so offensive we should go to war over it!

She pretty much simplified the difference between the Aussie and Kiwi accents.. I always found it so hard to explain the differences in words.

Saoirse is Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett combined. What a talent. She has so much future ahead of her, she's undoubtedly the best of her generation.
Those 3 are the most talented of the last 3 generations. Streep from the 70's and 80's generation, Blanchet from the 90's and 00's and now Saoirsa from the 10's and 20's.
She certainly is a talented white blonde woman.

Yanka rarely can tell the difference between south african kiwi aussie english irish scottish welsh and all the subvariants. To them anything non american is basically posh british or hot rough australian.
So me an aussie if speaking formally will get brit comments and my scottish friend will get aussie comments when he sounds like gerard butler because hes got a rougher lower voice and apparently not stereotypical scottish or posh english therefore must be aussie.
Its wild.
As long as the accents good i dont care but if they fuck it up its usually so heinous that i dislike the actor forever 😂 worst modern in movie or tv one ive seen is pacific rim. Had to be told they were suppose to be aussies thats how heinous it was. And then to watch them act like the dumbest drop kicks with the worst insulting accents was like offensive and im rarely fkn offended by anything. But wow.

Hollywood dialect coaches take note. Saoirse knows the difference between Aussies and Kiwis. Every Aussie accent on tv sounds like a constipated Kiwi. Learn the vowels!

One of the most normal sounding Aussie accents I’ve heard a non-Aussie acress do! She’s better than most American actresses/actors that attempt an Australian accent!

@@FergalCanada She's technically from America, but left America when she was 3 years old, her accent sounds like a working class Dublin accent or maybe a mix between Carlow where she grew up and Dublin because her parrents were from Dublin. I love her accent either way.

I like Saoirse Ronan she is Beautiful, Talented, Nice, so down to earth and agreat actress. It's hard not to like her and she can do accents too. I always got confused with Aussie accent and the Kiwi accent but apparently she summed it up perfectly. I'm English but I really do like her Irish accent it seem very strong accents but it suits her.
