- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 4 ก.พ. 2022
- We demonstrate one way to create a housing around a motor. In this scenario we are going to 3D print the housing and make it by creating a oversized motor to use in a boolean expression.

A brilliant, quick concise description of something I never was able to figure out, thanks!
You are welcome Rodney
Still the BEST CAD videos on You Tube.......
Thanks!
Thanks😃😃😃😃
You are welcome 😎
Still the BEST CAD vidoe out there...........
Thanks Pieter
This is a great use case for parametric design, you can add the clearance as a variable in you spreadsheet and change it to suit you need without having to modify every sketch by hand.
Exactly, great idea 💡
I can definitely make use of this, thank you.
Excellent!
I used a similar technique in SolidWorks to mold some parts a few years ago, glad to see that it's possible in FreeCAD.
Thanks for the video.
🍻
I think it's a good start to an enclosure, especially if you are going to 3d print it.
on the side of a cylinder and they need to be at an angel of about
120 degrees apart. How do I put holes or pockets around a
cylindrical part? Both FreeCad and 3D printing are new to me. Thanks
again.
I will make a video showing how to do that for you.
@@Adventuresincreation Wow That would be great. Thank you again.
@@jamesbrewer3020 I have created the basics of steps around a cylinder, I will post a picture on my channel. I will create a quick video but can't do that today.
Hi! This series has been super helpful for getting comfortable with freeCAD; thank you! I'm trying to learn the program to help my boyfriend with cabinetry. Do you have any recommendations for other channels/resources that have more specific tutorials on cabinet plans, cut lists, ect? Thanks again!
You are welcome. Sorry, I do not know any channels that are doing cabinetry with FreeCAD. - I am glad you are getting up to speed with FreeCAD, I am sure you will have no trouble designing cabinets.
Awesome. Now I just need to find a file of my micro switch and I can make an end stop holder for my switches.
You could always make an outside dimension model, just the dimension you need to enclose the switch.
@@Adventuresincreation i guess I could look up the dimensions, my caliper broke, and I don’t have anything to measure metric items at the moment.
@@wantafastz28 you could probably look up dimensions online
@@Adventuresincreation yep, I’ll try both ways. I found the file on grab cad, I also have the file of my taig mill. Hopefully I can do it as easily as you make it look. :)
Transparency or different colors ?
Great suggestion, colors may have helped here.
Sri upload the video how to create Template in freecad
A template? Do you mean for drawing?
