Good old days the 90,s ..But i was fortunate to have lived through the 60,s 70,s and 80,s too , which id go back to in a heartbeat . Im 63 now . Today is dog sheet !
Good old Ford CVH lazy starter, that brings back memories of mates cars at Southend on a Saturday night. I also remember my 2.9 EFI used to flood it's self if you were to quick and missed the start, again, you'd have to sit and wait for it. Great times, loved my old fords! I'd love another Sierra or Cortina mk5
Wow, great times! Passed my test in 1993 and was exactly the same, me and some mates just wasting petrol in my mk2 Escort UEG 870S with rave tapes blasting out. There was still a lot of old 70s cars on the roads then too. Break something and it was cheap from the scrappy. I miss the 90s
I would have loved to have lived your life pete in the early 90s what a great era, the music the cheap cars that you could pick up for a few hundred quid or less great tunes your mate brian was playing in his mk3 escort, Dream freaquency feat debbie sharp take me, great tune came out in April 1992 same time as SL2 On a Ragga Tip still love to blast these tunes now, petrol was cheap back in January 1993 when you made this video 44p a liter i was 11 years old back then when you made this video hope your mate brian got his battery sorted keep these videos coming pete
My mistake brians car was a mk1 ford orian as it has the sportey ford steering wheel that were standard and the saloon rear end its not a mk3 escort, the ford orian was launced on the 30th september 1983 On an Areg so im guessing brians whould have been an 1983 Areg?
you turn me nostalgic was 23 on those days we had the old taunus estate from my father from 1976 green jade been everywhere in france with it....great feelings
Hello Pete….I wonder what gave you the idea to record your car adventures on film because that was not cheap even then. It must have been where you learnt a lot about video editing etc. I would say that it was the driving in the 1990’s which I recall as being maybe the most wild of all…I remember many fast road trips and being with friends recording 120 mph on dark bypasses etc! In 1984 I drove home from Gatwick Airport in the early hours and did the 135 miles in just under two hours! Since then, I have been am IAM Member for the last35 years which I hope balances things out! Your film is worrying and fascinating…I hope all your friends are still here and enjoying cars as always..just not on Southport beach….that poor Cortina..it went on to even worse things after that though! 😱😱😬😃😃😃
Ahh.. Happy Times and the 90s music were fab.1993 was the year i met my long-term partner and still going strong at 31 years. 😊 Earlier in 93,my mk5 cortina 2 litre GL went to the scrapyard due to failing the MOT on severe rust😐. Replaced by a 1986 MK2 cavalier 2.0 CD.What a car...😊.
Good old times used to drive around in old white ford escort van back in 1990 when i was living in west Drayton great video and music Pete big thumbs up for cortina city 🤗 Ollie
Hi Pete, Love these old videos and it takes me back to the good old days, being Manchester based we had a similar life back in the 90s, with our abused Cortinas, MK3 escorts, vans and sierras! I'm in the midst of restoring a MK1 Orion 1.6i ghia and a 3 door Sierra, if you are ever in the area you are more than welcome to have a brew and a chat, your videos keep me inspired 👍
Good evening Pete, Imagine of thinking to record your adventures and the things you and your mates got up to back in the day ? I did too but only in pictures from my camera 😂😉 Epic times and we sure had fun back in the day 🙏 Keep posting Pete 👏 All the best 🤜🤛
Mate of mine rented one of these in about 93.. I think we set a "lunatic" record.. Brockley Cross South London to The Three Crowns in Bolton in 1 hour 47 minutes.. Decent cars.
Mk1 orion ghia injection, same as mine about same time .early 90s. Didnt have the halfrauds blinds in me back windows tho....had them in me mk3 escort ghia i had before orion😆....oh happy simple times....wuld give up all i have & go back in a second
Few better feelings than cruisin' about with the old skool rave choons on - still do it regularly 😎 EDIT - is that the mighty Rainford Bypass I spy near the end of the vid? 😂
Hi pete how are you. Great good footage takes me back to the good times. Did you repair the front end on the cortina est or was it before only noticed new black wing. Cive Alive
Wicked Pete The cortina lived ever after. I was 17 1993 my brother had olive Mk5 2.0 Ghia and my sister had green crusader. I nearly had my sister's cortina but the insurance was too expensive for first car ended up with a mini 1000 then fiesta escort Capri so on😂
Great video Pete. Was that a front quarter in that Cortina? I thought I saw half a slam panel welded in there or maybe it had just been colour changed? Whatever, they were more easily repaired than today😄

What I wouldn't give to be able to step into this video, and do the 90s all over again. Best decade of my life!
Wow simpler times. Good music, and a radio phone in for being stuck on computer games 😂. Bring me right back please.

Early 1990's. Peak living. It's all gone down hill since then.

What happend to that car in the end?
I miss the 90s so much. Now we can only see it through grainy video 8 footage but it was real at one point.

Hi Pete good video reminded me of those days. I had a red mk5 estate at that time too. 1980 £100 old wreck I got off a traveller. Good old car
The convertible mk5 cortina makes a comeback!

20 minutes feeling like you were back in the day before everything was awful.

That cortina estate was only 11 years old and was E.O.L.
Bugger I missed it!
48.3p for 4 star equivalent to £1.03 in today's money. Happy days, simple times.
Bet that cortina suffered some serious corrosion after its dip in the sea 😂
Probably dissolved by the end of that week.

I passed my test in an Orion Pete. Like Brian's, it was also a sack of Sh1t! Cheers Mac.
Did you get that Orion from a guy from Golborne? My uncle had one exactly the same.
Great !
Damn, I miss my GXL, loved that car.
I like Ford Orions, Mark 3 Escort with a Mark 5 Cortina rear end.
Mint .........carnt wait
The good old 90s 😂lol
Bunch 'o Scallies! (We've all done it) No reg cams back then, you could discreetly get away with it. I said DISCRETELY! ;)
