- The bible tells the story of the stone of Jacob. That is an enormous, sacred and iconic place in the bible. The Stone of Jacob appears in the Book of Genesis and is also called the pillow of Jacob, where he had a vision of a stairway to heaven and god. According to the bible, Jacob's stone marks a cosmic entry point. But there are evidence that the stone from the bible is still with us today. Is this true or not?

ok , I've seen about a dozen programs such as this. What I want to know is why do we look to relics to venerate? Why not just look to God. Does it matter what of bed we sleep on to be remembered? Even if people remember us (for a few decades), It is better to be remembered by God, and the words He inspired to be written for us to get to know Him, God. He's the only one that can do anything for us.

There is just a very tiny percentage of people, who "know", that there is G-d (or at least got a very strong believe.) The most people with "believe" are full of doubts and they miss Torah-knowledge. People with a weak faith need relics to strengthen their faith, to find a more materialistic connection to G-d, something, they can see with there own eyes, something, that they can touch with their own hands.
Praise God he is the only one who loved us 1st and for ever we love Good Lord please help us to do your ways and To Praise you and to talk to you the way you want us to today and forever in the Holiest of Holy your one true sons name our Savior Jesus Christ Amen

I appreciate the fact that main narrator guy isn't talking like he's in a speed race but he pauses between words (sometimes it almost seems like fake dramatic emphasis) and it makes for some difficult listening.
Quite interesting! Is the specialist bias? And wish to believe that the stone came from his homeland instead? Gilbert was on a roll w/his findings since it appeared to have circumstantial evidence. In the end tho, i do feel as tho that Gilbert found closure in believing that even if he was unable to the conclusion he had worked so hard to find, instead he accepted the stones final conclusion whereas it does signify some amazing events which occurred! This channel have sum amazing finds and my favorite is the Exodus, The Fall of Jericho and The discovery of Sodom and Gomorrah. If you havent watched that yet, you should! I give props to all these people who takes the bible serious (even tho at one time they didnt) and all the labor and money they put into these discoveries! Keep up the good work but be safe and cautious at all times!

Well made program. Basically concludes that the stone is from local Scottish quarry and so is a copy of some sort. Adrian Gilbert believes it does not disprove the legends that have the stones origin as Bethel in Palestine. Both are correct and a pity the investigation ends there.

The Blessing of Isaac on his sons 48 years later was a different matter where Jacob did indeed trick his father. But in this case it was to receive a Blessing, not to receive money.
Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Jacob didn't steal his birthright, he received the blessing that was due to holder of the birthright of succession.

I sincerely don't believe this about the stone! You show four strong men transporting it with poles and obliviously of heavy weight. So I went to Genesis 28: 10 to 13 and there is the basis for my belief. It says Jacob picked up a stone and placed it on the ground for his head. It was just a rock for Jacobs head. Like if anyone of us has gone camping and forgot a pillow we'd look for something to support our neck for our heads comfort.

That stone in the Cathedral in London is for 99;9% sure not the original "stone of Jacob". It simply can not be. That original stone used Jacob as a pillow, when he went to sleep. It was under his head. The stone in London is a huge rock. Its impossible for a human, to use that as a pillow. The real stone of Jacob was not higher than 5 cm and probably much wider. A flat stone, that could work as a makeshift pillow.

There are a number of inaccuracies here. Jeremiah is killed in Egypt by the man Nebuchadrezzar left as governor is Judah. This is found in 2d Kings.
Even I dreamed that I saw the heaven was opened but not that much wide open and all of the sudden a word came out with a slow motion word for word and it's saying..Jesus is Coming soon.. and then once that word disappeared I then saw a man looking down with a half body like until chest and with a shoulder hair and the time He disappeared the heaven slowly closed

If you can read you'll find Esau sold Jacob his birth rights for a bowl of food.
