I just don't have good luck with thrift stores. You picked up some very cool 12" singles. I love that G. Benson album. God, I just noticed the Sunny Day Real Estate album..... Very nice MJQ title. I would guess it's the 60s pressing. Very cool Argo label. I have many of his titles, which you can pick up relatively cheaply. Great finds as always, Jt.
Thanks for mentioning the House/ Trance stuff, and 3 of them are Soul R&B 12".. Nobody else seems to like them, they sound amazing ! I snuck that Sunny Day in there.. It figures you would be the first to get it ! They finally re issued it !!! I have two other OG's of Sunny Day Real Estate that I bought new at Tower back in 2000. I went back for the Benson cover.. So cool with him walking across the street in NYC.. like the Abbey Road cover !

I got lucky.. I found a 'Quiet Village" about 3 months ago thrifting ! I have "Exotica" and Forbidden Island" now for Martin Denny ! I dig Hawaiian music. .and the Soul Jazz funk from the seventies like Kalapana is good music !

Mike.. There were two copies of 'The Other Side".. for 2.00 each. If I had bought the other, I would have sent it to you ! I will keep a look out.. Knowing me, Ill find one and tell you ! With the DJ records, I can always trade them, or sell eventually. 3 of them are 50.00 records each. "Pretties For You" was up on the "Wall Of Pain" LoL ! It's a 2nd press.. Eric sold it to me for 15.00.

JT I went to a thrift store about an hour from me. Spent $150for about 110 records. Got Mostly 33 1/3’s, a few 78/45’s. Got around 6/7 blue notes. Funny thing if I knew how he Priced them I would’ve bought more but I got all the Jazz I saw
Right.. I get it. It wasn't worth much, ( the picture disc ) I am not selling right now... but the DJ records are worth 40 to 60 each. I like collecting different genres as well. Thanks Greg ! 😋

I just spun that Rank and File again this morning.. very good, although the one with Alejandro Escovito ( red cover with barbed wire ) is better. Those House / Techno records sound amazingly good.. 3 I like ( Soul R&B ). They are valuable, and good for trade or to sell later on down the vinyl road ! LoL !!! ✌️
Pretties For You is the most underrated lps by the boys. This one gets lots of table time. Just shows how twisted my tastes can be! Wish there was crating opportunities round here. Nice!🖖🚀

Some great albums, some completely forgotten, some tragically ignored...I've always had a special love for the psychedelic debuts of some later very popular bands / artists like Status Quo, Blue Oyster Cult, Thin Lizzy and Pink Floyd! Alice Cooper's debut deserved to be higher in the estimation of their fans. A psychedelic gem with unfortunately poor production... I'm sure that "Levity Ball" escaped from "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn". And this amazing Boston psych scene!!! Short-lived but it gave us masterpieces! I remember years ago I bought a cd with the 2 Beacon Street Union albums, both fantastic with the dark "The Clown Died..." like it a little more! Thank you for reminding me, I will be very happy to look for it in my collection tοday to listen to it after at least 20 years!!!

what do you think about Electronica and hip hop? intersting Night moves K Tel , nice Sabbath volume 4 sorry to hear about the condition , nice Alice Cooper , Dave Edmunds , that Beacon street band front cover looks better than there music? who is Smith and it's not the same band from the 80's? who's Smith? is 3 Dog night Rock music or sounds of the 70's? if you ask me Rock would be like Pink Floyd, Queen , Journey , Cars , Police , David Bowie, Who , Rolling Stones ect sounds of the 70's would be like Paper Lace, O zark Mountain, Terry Jacks ect where does 3 dog night file? over by me our Good will sells records with scratches . that Groove is an album I envision seeing a million times at Tower , the Wiz and Sam Goody I would never pick that up I just use that album as an example I've seen albums like that and I left them there.
That Groove LP was 2.50.. and at least makes for a strong trade or sell.. It's worth 30.00 online.. I like it ( Soul R&B ).. You are more particular than me, Mark.

is 3 Dog night Rock music or sounds of the 70's? if you ask me Rock would be like Pink Floyd, Queen , Journey , Cars , Police , David Bowie, Who , Rolling Stones ect sounds of the 70's would be like Paper Lace, O zark Mountain, Terry Jacks ect where does 3 dog night file?

that Groove is an album I envision seeing a million times at Tower , the Wiz and Sam Goody I would never pick that up I just use that album as an example I've seen albums like that and I left them there.
