Reminds me of when I came to the US in 1984 from Panama, no English and different culture. This was a total culture shock. I was trying to understand why our P.E. class had this dancing program while not speaking English yet.
I absolutely HATED doing this as a kid, because I was bullied a lot as a kid, because I was "the ugly kid". But if I didn't do the square dancing, we ended up getting in trouble. So I ended up dancing with another girl instead, who was nice to me.
