    What's your favourite management game?🤔

I think the most obvious way to solve this problem would be to introduce one feature after another. And wit that I mean having those features 100% disabled, their UI hidden and not affecting the game at all. Then step by step turn those features back on as players proceed through the game. It's a win win cause it makes the game easier to handle when you get into it and on top of that it means you get to unlock some actually cool and meaningful stuff on a regular basis. The reason why a lot of games don't do this is a) because they don't plan for it and b) because they are scared people are gonna "miss" all of their precious content if it's not there right from the beginning. So yeah, whatever way you do it, it's always a tradeoff, but it would be great to see management games try a bit harder on this front. I agree.

Some good points for sure! I'd love to see management games try this in the future

i play a mobile game called 'Everdale' made by supercell (that made clash of clans). Its a village building game that has its own core gameplay which is trading resources. So the game tells u to use and manage your resources carefully at the right or at least the best times so u can upgrade ur village. In my opinion, the game initially started a bit complicated as it's normal when learning new things, because you're trying to understand how the game works but slowly after getting used to doing tasks and other things, you'll eventually get a better idea of how the game works and moving forward you'll be able to manage things and tackle tasks better. So i'm glad through my experience of the game, i was able to sort of get through the hard part and move to the easy rather than having it easy initially then slowly getting harder, which is not an ideal experience especially for a village building/ resource managing type games.

Ohh right, I think I heard of that game. But just like with a game like Stellaris, if it's too difficult to understand from the get go, I probably won't keep playing it, and that's unfortunate

Great little video. I definitely get that feeling with automation management games. This has now got me thinking about ways it could be sorted 🤔

Thanks! Yeah honestly I wouldn't know. At some point the freedom just becomes too much

this is so true. Cities Skylines starts pretty easy, but there is so much content later in the game, and it makes it really hard to do everything right. Still fun to play tho

Exactly. I couldn't get into cities skylines for that reason. Maybe now that it's been a few years I might be able to.
But I'm glad that I can still enjoy some of those games even though I find them difficult haha
