I can’t say that I’ve ever watched a match this powerful that wasn’t on PPV. PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING IS ALIVE AND WELL IN AEW.
I love the dynamic created between Darby and Mox since Dynamite started. That type of long storytelling allows people to care about the show. Bringing back the memory of the devastating Paradigm Shift from the top was a hell of a idea.
I know there’s a lot of tag teams but I wouldn’t mind seeing Mox and Darby as tag team champs.

Amazing match between my two favourite wrestlers in the world. My only gripe is I wish they wouldn't have had Mox kick out of the Coffin Drop, a high risk finisher like that should've been protected a little longer. Shouldn't have used the CD there, maybe Darby should've hit a Canadian Destroyer, he does a really good one.

This is the time to evolve Darby Allin's attitude. Have him be more aggressive and passionate about proving people wrong. For example, make a storyline where Darby need to prove himself in big matches and then at the end of the storyline, he beats a guy like Cody, Hangman, Brodie Lee or Moxley.
Of course, he didn't. But damn if it wasn't well done regardless.

I've heard Raven refer to it as "One guy goes over, the other guy gets over" booking. It's a pretty good way to elevate from beneath without hurting your top talent.
I guess but honestly Darby always loses. The only wins he gets are in tag matches or against Jimmy havoc. He is probably gonna lose to cage as well in there fued. So we can say wow he puts on great matches but eventually if he keeps losing I'm gonna stop caring. So aew do me a favor and have him win a few matches please for the love of God.

Moxley and Allin are like Brothers, when younger brother challenges the older to prove the game. Even though they've known to be merciless on there opponents, but tonight they prove that you can play safe even when you both are hardcore as hell. That's the thing of beauty I like about Mox and Allin...
They have no partnership build , no chemistry , the only shit they've done is have mox talk about respecting Darby for being a fellow dumb ass hardcore idiot. The MJF Cody shit when they were friends, that's an example of a brothers feud.

@Gobbledy Gooker What do you want them to do? Do you want them to do some OLD SCHOOL RASSLIN'? Do you want them to do some melodramatic selling and the bullshit "hulking up?" Do you want them to do some lame ass legdrops and 10-minute chinlocks? Stop being close-minded. There are a variety of ways on how to apply in-ring psychology and storytelling. Moxley did what he could to put Darby down including a sleeper hold and a piledriver but Darby just won't stay down and he won't tap. Eventually, he had to resort to the elevated paradigm shift to defeat Darby. Heck Moxley was even able to protect his finisher in the match. So shut up and sit down.
The problem with this story is that Darby had zero momentum coming in and had no chance to win. Darby has won anything worth a damn in aew. So why believe in him when aew never gave me a reason. The last tv single match win was against Sammi in April. This felt so rushed they knew they guys can go so they did it to pop a rating. It's disappointing. Now watch Darby be feed to cage and then who knows. You can't keep losing and expect people to still care.

Moxley gets pissed by slamming the mat and turnbuckle after Darby kicks out of the piledriver. He did not wish to hurt him any further but he had to. What impeccable storytelling.
They have an almost Father/son dynamic.
Moxley sees himself in Darby, and desperately wants to protect the image of his young self, but also wants to protect what he has.
Moxley cradling Darby was so poetic. I could almost hear him whisper ‘you did good kid. You did enough.’ He didn’t say it with words but the sentiment was there.

i love the consistency in aew.mox learned this submissions when he was fighting jake hager, and now is using them.used them to win against brodie and cage
Plus learned a few mma style moves & submissions while he was training for his role in Cagefighter last year.
Think it was around when the film was finally released earlier this year (albeit as a Fite tv exclusive instead of theatrical as originally planned) that Mox started to use more submissions to secure wins against bigger & harder hitting opponents (Brodie Lee, Brian Cage) or whenever multiple Paradigm Shifts fail to win a match.
Shows decent development for Moxley (not just in AEW but also NJPW). That not only is he learning more moves from his opponents but also adding them to his ever expanding arsenal.

Even in defeat, Darby Allin looked incredibly strong! And that match was so incredible and well told. The amount of respect Moxley had for Allin in the matches aftermath was a nice thing to see.
Truly hope Darby takes the title from mox not because I hate mox but damn there’s only one person who can truly match his insanity in the ring
