I’ve said this before on other posts, you guys are the best, I genuinely mean THE BEST barbers I’ve ever seen. I’m in the UK and have always got my gar cut twice a month minimum, from backstreet barbers to to London barbers, but you are by far and away the best. Since the first lockdown I followed your self haircut tutorials, and I’m still doing it now, saving me £50 - £60 per month all because of you guys. I’ve just finished a self haircut tonight, following this tutorial and I’m really happy with the outcome. Thank you guys, you’re all phenomenal 🙏🏼
Been watching your channel for a couple of years. Learned how to self cut my own hair using your techniques and steps. Get compliments on my hair often. Thank you FC👍🔥👍🔥
been cutting for a while now, and just recently i saw and found these video's. These tips and the techniques really helped me improve alot ! much more structure and only 2 lines to blend instead of more when i used my usual methode. So really thanks for this education !! keep it going !!
Yall were the first ever video i watched on how to do a taper and that was about a year in a half ago when i was 14 and i just turned 16 and doing much better w my cuts appreciate the steps gave me so much inspiration
Any tips for thin hair? I love the videos and the steps but it is difficult to see the guidelines on my hair. Maybe a video on finer hair? I wasn't lucky to get the thick hair like on tutorials 😅
Think you can make a vid on different types of guidelines? I always find different people have differing placements for where they start their lines for different types of fades.
Awesome job guys!!! I’m cutting hair to friends and family with y’all as teachers! Can y’all do a fade tutorial but not bold? For example the lowest to be a 1 guard or even 2 guard. Thank you guys! Much love!
Love your Chanel brothers. How long does it take for you and your brother knock out a fade completely? I’m still new so a while back it was taking me 1 1/2 hours now I’m down to 45 min or an hour. I’m trying to learn to get faster so I wanted to know how long the pros are doing it in
Can you join the online academy if you're in Australia?? Also, do you have a video focusing on the clipper settings with open close and numbers 0 and up?
Can you explain to me why you start with the top shear cutting before the sides? I work at sport clips and getting back into cutting. Trying find the best and easiest and quickest way to cut and fade
Great video but i still dont quite understand How does the fading work Like which numbers fade out which? Or how many mm (less or more than the guideline) u need to Fade it. would be cool if Someone could explain^^
Fading is like taking steps up as you go from down to up (light to dark, bald to hair) Step 1: Cut hair to desired length or even out hair if needed. Step 2: Create bald line with Clipper lever CLOSED and No guard. The lever located on the side of clipper (1st guideline) Step 3: Open lever all the way with No guard and Create 2nd guide line (this one should be a finger width) Step 4: Snap on a #1 guard with Lever all the way open and create 3rd guideline. This one a finger width. Step 5: If the hair is still bulky above the 3rd guideline the snap on a 1.5 guard lever all the open and Flick up from 3rd guideline and slightly above. It’s important to do FLICKING motion to avoid creating a 4th line. Blending process: Step 6: Remove guard, Close lever and start flicking the very first guideline which is the Bald line using the corners of your clipper blade. (it’s important to flick to blend and remove line) Note: Stay under the 2nd line for this step. Step 7: Snap on .5 guard, and put lever slightly from Open but not halfway Open and then start flicking the 2nd line but stay under the 3rd line etc… So as you see it’s like going up steps to create lines then coming down steps to blend lines but in order to blend you have to use whatever that cut closer than the guide line that was created. So if you created a line with #1 guard OPEN then only a .5 slightly OPEN or #1 CLOSED flicking motion will blend that line created with #1 guard.
You should try shooting a video at F4 on your camera or lens settings. No reason for an instructional video to have bluriness when we are trying to see the cut in in entirety. Thanks for the tutorial!
can i ask a question about why do you leave the hair down lowest and cut it later with the shaver? is it a preference or does it have a smarter meaning? hope you guys can help
Tú entiendes lo que dicen en inglés? Yo entiendo alrededor de 40% (que parece poco pero estoy orgulloso de ello) sin subtítulos y con subtítulos alrededor 78. Pero me gusta entrenar el oído sin subtítulos jaja.

A 0 with the level closed is 0mm. Thats the first guideline. A 0 with the lever open is 0.5mm A 1 with lever open 0.5mm+3mm so 3.5mm. Basically whenever they say lever open it adds 0.5mm to the guard

With the money I’ve saved, I bought myself some Wahl Seniors and have the same Andis shaver as in the video. Both are well worth the money IMO.

@faded culture like can we do each step all around

Can you say how much it is in millimeter?
A 0 with the level closed is 0mm. Thats the first guideline.
A 0 with the lever open is 0.5mm
A 1 with lever open 0.5mm+3mm so 3.5mm.
Basically whenever they say lever open it adds 0.5mm to the guard
