You can add a slight coating of silicone on the thermostat housing side and place the gasket on top and that should hold it in place when your installing it or you can slide two of the thermostat housing bolts on the housing then put the gasket on then thread the bolts in while keeping the gasket in place ..hope this helps
I just did mines but when I installed the new thermostat, i opened up the radiator cap to fill in new coolant but it started leaking from the thermostat housing bottom bolt. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

Ok, then I would make sure that the system was bled correctly cuzz alot of the times its that one stubborn air pocket that wont leave the system and yes, I would checked the thermostat to see if it's stuck close or open and it can possibly be a bad water pump that the propellers are no good .....did you perform a cooling system pressure test to Verify that there is no current leaks throughout the system..

I changed my ex35 thermostat following this video. Thanks

Great Job. Thank you for showing step by step procedures. 👍👍👍
Thanks for this video bro. My thermostat stopped working today. Headed to Autozone tomorrow for the parts.🙏🏾
Great work! 👍🏾
This video helped a lot ! Thank you 👌
My luck , when I was replacing mine. I have a broken screw stuck inside the housing and it’s impossible to get it out
Can I use same tools to replace water pump and hoses?
The water pump is an 8 hour job
Did that plug by the solenoid just pop out or does it need to be pinched like it's clipped in?
Gotta Pinch the tab and then it will release boss
How many litres of coolant do you fill it with? and do you have thermostat and gasket part #?
any tips on keeping the gasket in place? My second time around and gasket has no sticky side.

You drained the coolant before?
Very good well explain love it
Will that part of the housing cause check engine light ?
@ofduffman7674 Yes, if the thermostat housing goes bad or the coolant temp sensor, it will cause a check engine light for a P0128

Hi Gabe you don't have to replace the whole wire just repair the part where it ripped
Did it rip directly from the connector
