For a guy like Logan Paul who doesn't care about his reputation, there can be no bad publicity, sure maybe he won't be able to scam as many people again, but the scandal and the content he makes out of it will make him enough money to not care.

A few things:
Logan is trying to pad out his answers so you might miss it
He keeps bashing Coffee but at the same time trying to compliment him so it doesn't seem as malicious
They got caught with their pants down trying to shadow release it and were essentially foiled when an outside source started buying up the eggs as well. They say there was no scam, only because someone threw a big wrench into it before they can implement the scam.
I mean of course they arent going to say that out right. But dont think he really did anything to hide his animosity towards coffee. It's was more like a "I Ill give the devil his due" and at the same time call him a liar and criminal. The intent being to convince his people that coffee is some kind of evil nar-do-well puppeting the ignorant masses of TH-cam against him.

They are going in to detail and planning how to pump the project,
illegal use of non-public material information is generally used for profit.
The 4 people in the project are discussing how much they are allowed to sell so they wont tank the price too much.
All in all what they were doing is market manipulation/ conspiracy to commit market manipulation, which are pretty heavy crimes and can lead to long prison sentences.
Also missleading investors/ buyers, he called the project a game and after release he has called it a crypto/ nft project multiple times.
He's not complimenting Coffee to avoid seeming malicious. He could not care less about that. He's complimenting Coffee's skill to emphasize his "master manipulator" narrative. It's a common tactic to point out your enemies strong points so you can highlight how they used that talent for evil purposes. It's like a lawyer repeatedly saying how muscular and physically fit someone is to make the argument that they were capable of completely overpowering the victim. It's also like if you try to say a successful con artist is a complete idiot, that contradicts the fact that they were at least more clever than the people they were scamming. You *have* to compliment their intelligence to some degree in order to make them appear to be a credible threat. If just some talentless idiot made a video with baseless accusations against Logan, then he should be ignoring it, not making a podcast episode centered around damage control.
Otherwise, yeah, I agree on your other points.
@osmium6832 Logan has had talentless idiots make videos about him for many years now. I think the issue here is Coffee is attacking his character and alleging he tried to scam investors without any proof and worse he knows Logan's intent was to make CryproZoo a real project that could earn investors money.
It fell apart for various reasons and continuing the development of this project proved burdensome.
You can see from this video Logan was already laying the groundwork for a defamation lawsuit and even before filing it had been drafted for months.
Coffee isn't covered by his insurance so he's screwed. I get that Logan is easy to hate but it's not looking good for Zilla

Personally after hearing both sides, I feel that Logan just wasn’t able to complete his scam…. It fell apart midway and he got caught holding the bag…. Had his project completed I personally think he woulda rugged pulled and left all his fans holding the bag. Coffee just pointed it out.
Yess. No one addresses the internal memos and chats where LOGAN WANTED TO MANIPULATE THE MARKET. Asmon says that logan "wants to make money" which is true but is not just gross negligence, but obvious malicious intent.

Yup. They even tried to artificially create trading volume, to get other traders involved. The NFT game never happened, so the token price was never going to pump that much. But I also think that his lawyer told him not to sell his tokens, because then he's probably getting into much more trouble for this fraud.

Z wasn't a registered felon, his records had been expunged. Meaning LP doxxed someone's criminal record after the legal system wiped his slate clean, on top of which, there was no way for Coffee to find these records outside of directly asking him about his criminal record.
When I saw the "receipt" of that 20 year old obstructing of justice I wondered how he got it so quickly. My assumption is he had it ready from the beginning to defam Z in case he goes openly about not being paid, or to blame it on him after successfully rug pulling the whole thing.
@Mediamatix best case scenario for LP, Z wasn't lying to Muta, and those files aren't pertaining to him, but he had mentioned in conversation with the boys that he'd run into legal trouble in the past and LP's team pulled up files on a different guy with the same first and last name but (as Z claims) different middle name. Middle case for LP, it was a real file, which he got when the thorough background check on Z was done by the dodgy people who could get their hands on such things.
Worst case, like Senator Armstrong, LP made it the fuck up.
Figures for they guy who spouts "second chances" and "I've improved and changed" any chance he gets that he'd use people's crimes they served time for already to try and invalidate their accounts. (Even though we use criminal testimonies and information all the time in the legal system so anyone who falls for this is probably just like Logan).

Nah, he's not going to jail. He's absolutely already been working with the feds because everything went to shit and his lawyers would have advised him to cut a deal. But that doesn't mean he didn't do the thing.

The 'no recording calls' thing hinges on a reasonable expectation of privacy - if you are giving an interview you cannot claim to have had a reasonable expectation of privacy. This is going to go nowhere for Logs

@@6Churches I’ve seen plenty of people make that claim before but from what I’ve been able to search up on the issue seems to suggest there really isn’t a universal standard for dealing with cases like these.
Not that it even really matters though as an investigative journalist reaching out to in your official capacity as someone’s manager for an official statement about the story they’re working on falls well within the legal expectation of privacy, even for states such as California.

I think the stock image owners should sue for reselling as opposed to advertising with their art. When Logan talks about Crypto King selling against his buyers it’s important to remember there were internal messages explaining when to sell, and what levels of market manipulation they wanted to do.
The only reason Logan didn’t sell is because Crypto King and Eddie wiped out the market cap and Logan either would’ve lost money, or not gained anywhere near enough to make it worth it for him to sell.

Legally Logan have no case as Coffee is based in Texas and Texas law says that either party of a conversation can start recording it without the consent of the other parties. He phoned from Texas to California therefore Coffee was obliged to follow Texas law, not California one.
Asmon's inherent ability to completely break down and dismantle someones statements based on facts, without being biased, is one of my favorite things in the world.

as an artist, if those pictures were taken from stock images, any experienced photoshop artists could probably combine/photoshop 2 images together within a few minutes or hours as max, but definitely not months/years.

Those images from cryptozoo isn't that good of an art whatsoever, i can make that panda/elephant picture in less than an hour probably and i'm not that much of an experienced artist
I like how Logan is like, "Block chain is so hard." Its not. I mean making real games is always going to be hard. But can you imagine how hard it would be to do this. Randomize number on execute. Take number to table and give animal image. When merging is executed take the values of the two pictures and return with new picture from table. Its like... I could write that shit in a dozen or so lines of code with a table. You could add more lines to have a rarity system but stuff like that is common knowledge as well. A 5 year old could do this by ripping code off the internet. Its like the logic of the game is so simple... what could possibly be the issue... The whole game is just calls to tables.
And even when you want to free your animals for yield... its just going to be, grab time stamp of image against current date. Look up on table what that animal yields for time held... and payout. Its like holy fuck. Save your tables to web3 and let the tokens call to them. Its like... its not like they are even trying to make a game long PONG! Its just throwing pics out. Its really... really simple. Like something a 10 year old could do. How... is that a multi year project.
But blockchain is hard, you confuse it with what Logan did.
Claiming this isn't a scam because you didn't make money is like releasing a "magic fat loss pill" that clearly doesn't work and then claim you didn't scam anyone cuz you didn't make a profit as you're an incompetent businessman.
Imagine saying you are going to sue an investigator for defamation, while you proceed to defame them on every corner of the internet, when they actually did nothing defamatory towards you themselves. Coffee simply provided information with a complete lack of malicious intent and did thorough investigations on every single point he made in his entire documentary of this situation, but Logan did nothing but turn around and spit on Coffee's shoes saying he is doing this for clout and money (which is ironic because it is quite clear that Logan is trying to milk this situation. As said by Asmon and others nobody who is under advisement by a legal team who is planning to sue would be going out in the open like this all over social medias because it directly hurts their case and gives the other side ammunition)
This will be nothing but a waste of the court's time, and a waste of even more money. I guess what we are seeing NEXT is going to be Logan Paul's biggest scam, because he will be dragging down even more than just your average Joe with him.

In order for LP to recover on defamation, he would have to prove actual malice since LP is without a doubt a public figure (Times v. Sullivan). There's too much of a ring of truth to what CZilla reported on to overcome that burden. LP would be scamming himself to pursue that litigation beyond a consult.
And he would have to prove that Coffee knew the actual truth or negligently disregarded the truth and intentionally lied. That would be difficult.
However, depending on what Coffee said in the call, he might ne in trouble for breaching privacy by recording the call. Though a video reporter asking for comment might be sufficient enough to imply that there is no expectation for privacy.

LP's not selling isn't some sign he was just incompetent or anything, it was absolutely because Crypto King and Ibanez pulled the rug earlier than was planned, so selling would just be a loss of reputation along with the monetary loss. It's ok to make mistakes or to get scammed yourself but just own the fact that others got screwed because you were. Most or all of those who invested in this did it because LP promoted it...therefore you're accountable to a large extent
The point is that the entire goal of this stupid ass NFT project (as evidenced by the group texts) was to exploit his fans buying the coin first then sell off the millions of dollars worth that the original group (including Logan) had already secretly released to themselves. The only reason Logan didn’t sell was because if he did there would be no way to deny his involvement in the scam. It’s still pretty clear at this point but not so 100% crystal clear that he can’t deny it. Hence his ridiculous comeback video with all his lackeys pretending not to know exactly what happened so they can at least appear unbiased (unless you aren’t an idiot in which case it’s obvious they will protect their daddy no matter what)
