On this episode, legendary film director Rick Alverson comes on the show to express his distain and cynicism for a movie about the rescue of young Thai people which was globally lauded but I guess because it's Ron Howard and there's too many movies about people surviving crazy traumatic circumstances, it's LAME TRASH, hopefully people will understand how this fantastically legendary director is so well known for movies such as... the comedy, and... uhh.. other great AMERICAN movies about WHITE AMERICANS being narcissists. Totally brings a new spin and view on film which is so insightful and really puts the sword to the terrible direction of people like Ron Howard and both Hollywood actors and local Thai actors alike because, yeah this movie blows because "It brings too much hope". So great to listen to the legendary director Rick Alverson give us this fantastic insight into dogshit films and also promote some of HIS great films like... The Comedy.. and The Mountain, and other one word titles which everyone knows and loves. Such great insight from a great director. Can't wait to see what 1 word film title he cooks up next for his next film which we hope doesn't have any hope, because jesus we have too much of that in America right now.

Sheesh - T really interrupts his guests a lot to get his opinion in on films… then abruptly changes the subject. I was interested to hear Doug’s thoughts on Triangle of Sadness, but Tim’s grousing prevailed :-(

this honestly made me hate tim. he talks about this movie that his guest has never seen and makes the argument that it's a great movie and assumes his guest would hate it... even though his guest hasn't seen it. somehow this becomes the subject for 20 minutes. i would've left if I was rick.
