The biggest question for Team USA is health. They already had one player from the All-Injured team leave, they still have three more: Embiid, KD, and AD, with an average height of 7'. They've been doing okay with only AD showing up. Losing him would be a big blow.

International teams at that time were not as strong as they are now. The game has grown tremendously in the 32 years since the dream team. Back then the top 20 players in the league were mostly American, in today’s NBA the top 20 is a mix of international and America players. Talent wise this team is as good if not better than the 92 DT

Olympics originaly was not for professional athletes. It was for amateurs.
I like how coaching is apportioning the talent. Front loading your best scorers, one day they fall behind overlooking their opponent (inevitable human nature), it's unfair asking glue guys to come in, hit 3's, and make a run. Whereas, you want some guys to get it going early, a time when you could afford some mistakes, because you have tnt on your bench just waiting to go off. Plus, your best lineup closes, which could change from game to game, keeping a tactical advantage and your opponent guessing.
