    One thing for me is I hate my skin feeling heavy. I can handle one or two things but any more and I will go wash my face and say forget it. I use my retinol about 3x week maybe 4x. I use my moisturizer and call it a day. I had a woman I know ask me point blank what are you doing to your skin? It looks amazing. I told her it was all retinol. She said she would look into it right away. My skin feels and looks just amazing.

    Hi Nerida, wish I had your cameraman's great skin! Just wondering are extractions the only way to get rid of blackheads? Can they be eliminated through peels, masks, or serums? I had some extractions done last month for what the esthetician described as very deep blackheads. Since I was in a lot of pain she wasn't able to get all of them. Now I'm left to deal with the resulting hyper-pigmentation.

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      mimisha24 once you have them, they do need to be extracted. But gentle cleansing, AHA’s, and/or retinols will help to minimize them for the future.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      oh no!! was your skin really surface dry? Is that why they were hard to get out? A great cleanser and cleansing well in the PM is very important, plus a buffing exfoliant or mask a couple of times a week is good, yes. But to actually get them out requires extractions unfortunately :))

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hannah peeling the eye area.... I don’t know if I like that. That area is so delicate on its own. I suppose there are exceptions to everything, but it would have to be very mild.
      Either way, I would choose a different route, such as a very mild exfoliant around the eyes, a product with a melanin suppressant, like arbutin or vitamin C, an eye product to protect the eyes, and then a good sunblock. That area is very tricky, with pigment issues.
