Of course. Trump's the only Hearthstone channel I watch because he's actually trying and will still post decks that utterly fail. Other ones typically only post their meme/lucky wins even if the deck is unusual, but Trump just gives a pretty honest looking spread of matches.
Im getting destroyed by these new players who get a free deck. I played evolve shaman and got dream draws, 4 knuckles. And the new warlock cleared the board 8 times then burned 10 cards in my deck and filled his and with the new cthun cards. Disgusting pay to win, why did i even try lol.
@@Smellvin717 In a big picture sense, aggro plays an important part in the meta. Aggro keeps greedier decks honest, and prevents the game from degenerating into a full-on fatigue fest. Of course, you don't want aggro to be *too* good, because it's often not very fun to play against. Ideally every meta has a tier 2 or 3 aggro deck. You just want to hit the sweetspot where, during deckbuilding, you have to ask yourself "How will this fare against aggro?"
@@Freekymoho I understand that. You make a very good point and I myself like to play aggro on more than one occaison. Heck, I have been climbing ranked with Revolve shaman, which is basically value aggro. The problem is that aggro hunter is way too strong and needs a nerf. It edges out way too many decks because they simply don't have enough heals, for example any druid deck basically besides token druid. It just needs to be changed on several levels.

The double scrapyard colossus is so greedy. Something like this needs more consistent anti-agro tools and less "10 mana battlecry: corrupt your 9 mana cards." No blade storms or executes feels really bad.

@@zakanyimen If you're implying it wasn't good as soon as it got released, you're wrong. It was pretty quickly discovered to be ridiculous with just shadowstep, the gadgetzan ferryman, brewmaster, fire fly, and igneous elemental, with boar and deckhand as payoffs.
To be fair, "Rush the quest" decks were never good. It took people a while to figure out that you had to run a ton of defensive options (Even "bad" ones like Vanish) to make the deck good. He predicted the initial form of the deck, but not the final form.
Most streamers show only winning games. Some streamers show short summary of losing games. Trump shows only losing games. That is the whole reason I come back to this channel, gotta love that madman!

It always take some time to find the right cards for the "new" meta decks aside from the most obvious ones like Soul DH and totem shaman that existed already for instance, but we shouldn't talk so fast about that clown and other cards. There's a list with a slightly different package that seems to perform quite well. It's supported by a taunt package there isn't in Trump List and it seems to be much more consistent with it EDIT: Here's an example of the list for those interested hsreplay.net/decks/eXNhi3d8aqj8A4u7RNYfVc/ . A much bigger taunt package that look much more consistent that his "filler" cards
Seems like Trump consistently undervalues the things beginning players value. The usefulness of taunt minions or the importance of conserving health for example
This honestly looks like my first pass of Control Warlock. What I learned: Clown is only good as a 1-of endgame card (usually activated by Y'sharj rather than trying to make it happen first for mega-value). You can just press hero power for the first 3 or 4 turns and only clear if necessary. For that reason, low-curve cards that don't protect your health are useless and should be switched for cards that heal, taunt, or do both like Khartut. In fact, imagine running Control in this meta without Khartut lol. Even if it doesn't heal it's still a reborn taunt which is important. If I was rebuilding this I'd take out 2x Reaper's Scythe, 1x Clown, and 2x Horrendous Growth, and find room to slot 2x Khartut, and some combination of Bladestorm, Bulwark, or Coerce.
I'm actually 10-3 with a Galakrond menagerie warrior. Turns out having lots of ways to handbuff scions of ruin is pretty good, and the new 1 mana draw a rush is comparable to the town crier that helped the deck in it's prime.
Yeah, kinda saw this coming. Seems you rarely have the time to play a slow 10 drop unless you ramped to it, and there's always a chance you don't have the 9 costs in hand when you can. Fun to see him try it, though.
The intro was amazing! I lost some interest in this video after seeing the winrate at the start though. I wanted to see how the deck did. But that's just my opinion. Thanks for the upload Jens :D
Clown is indeed great, its just that scrapyard colossus is a mediocre way to corrupt it. Warrior doesn’t have any 10 mana unfair cards like druid or others, so this deck was doomed from the start.
Trump with most corrupt cards: "a 4 mana card that you cant play on curve just cant work, too slow" Trump, running two 9 mana corrupt cards that only have 2 activators in the whole deck: "this is overpowered"
Currently 13-5 with my Clown Control Warrior. I built mine for draw in combination with using N’Zoth to resurrect em. The 4 mana taunt any minion type is amazing. Ringmaster Watley is amazing drawing my Deathwing, Claw and new taunt pirate. Clowns can be set off with N’Zoth but if you need to throw it down with out corrupt, it is good to on many aggro decks. The corrupt version is great for control decks and catching your opponents off guard. They never except clowns in a warrior deck.
Or Ey'sor with totemic reflections. Two 3/7 is a need to destroy, and unless you have silence or devolving missiles, its going to progressively get bigger and bigger. Knowing blizz, That Legendary will be nerfed to unplayable... Which is a painful idea since shamans need Something GOOD
