This song from where it stands in the bands history is magnified even more as a freaking event in itself. When you consider, as a band, what happened to these ladies. First they lose their famous most experienced shredder Saki, then their producer/and main absolute genius songwriter Kensuke Akiyama. Then the ladies decide to not stand still and accept it but fight hard and go ahead as a four piece re arranging old songs. Then Mayu composes this track, with lyrics from their new producer Hiro, into possibly Nemophila's greatest track. The Nemophila evolution revolution has started and its great to be on board for this journey.
Acting like the band was done when saki left is tiring and disrespectful to everyone else left. They have the talent even though clowns like you pretend saki was the only one who mattered
How many bands would have become _messed-up_ by the *shit* that happened to Nemophila recently. *NEMOPHILA* rise above such mess - and fucking release another *masterpiece* . Unbelieveable. These ladies are _literally unstoppable_ . What an example to all of us. "It _has_ to continue. Let's keep shining our light." 🐺💮 GER
Our girls came back with a Fu..ing VENGEANCE !!!!!!! MAYU really has one of the most incredible voices out there. I was really blown away when she sang Odyssey . Her soft voice is awesome too !!!!!
This is some of the best work this brilliant band has ever done. It incorporates almost Hanabie-esque changeups of style, tempo, time signature, etc.. while while retaining Nemophila's unique sound. And yeah: Mayu is just brilliant, one of the most distinctive and skilled singers in metal...and that's not even considering her weapon-of-mass-charisma live presence. I had no idea she has this kind of chops as a songwriter, though.
This is tied for my most favorite song with Ama Te Ras. Heavy metal verse and soaring Chorus! I was waiting to hear a song written for just the 4 of them and damn, they killed it.
Mayu is my favorite metal singer hands down. Got to see them in San Francisco last year. The sound at the venue sucked, but it was still a blast getting to see them live!
Like many others I was really interested to hear what they would come up with after Saki left. It would be really easy for a band to have a second guitar track playing as a back track but for the majority of the song that isn’t the case. Sure, in the chorus it becomes more saturated but that’s quite common. I think they’ve handled everything with smart and musical choices. Have a great weekend! 👍🙏
"NEMOPHILA" pronounced neh mo fee la is awesome and great reaction!!!!! G.O.D: Groundbreakers Of Destiny!!!!! Check out their cover of (Fairy) by "SHOW YA" the Grandmothers of Rock and Metal in Japan (still performing)!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!
As others have said, a lot of people were worried after they lost their second guitarist Saki. Welp, this is proof that they'll be just fine. Sure, their musical direction may be slightly different aka less shreddy solos due to only 1 guitar. Doesn't bother me one bit. Gnarly riffs and badass breakdowns are quite the satisfactory replacement. Kinda like what Hanabie does with the guitar/bass would be a chef's kiss too me.
Totally agree I'm not going to lie when I heard Saki left... I was a little worried for them myself.. it's like Voltron lost a leg. But like you said they are going to be just fine and this is proof of that. I kind of like the different direction they are going in personally. Thanks so much for watching!! 🍻
@@TJandTheGringa There's a newish group called Mellows that'll rip your face off as well. Cute vocals but the instrumentals are brutal. Candy Making would be the song to start out with. LOL
Im not struggling.. the phi doesn't exist in japanese .. I can speak Japanese well, but I've never heard the name pronounced. I would assume it's the FI sound in Japanese ふぃ . Many Japanese bands don't use Japanese pronunciation in their names as they try to change it up. It's not a struggle but rather how I read it. If I saw the name written in Japanese rather than Romaji I would have no issues with reading it and pronouncing it. I'll get it eventually 😃

@@TJandTheGringa To be honest, I listen to Lovebites if I'm in the mood for shreddy guitars. The M&M show!
