    Always love your videos but I’m surprised at you guys. Don’t you know by now that the volume knob is on the right because that makes it easier for the passenger to adjust the volume since the driver has a thumb-control for volume on the steering wheel?

    The tiny little tire flares are only for the American market due to the tire sticking out a tinny amount not in any other markets

      My sister just purchased a 2020 Audi Q3 here in the DC area and her Q3 does not have any flares. We also looked at other Q3s (both 2019 and 2020 MYs) in the dealership and they all did not have any flares. The same with my 2018 Audi SQ5, no flares but saw SQ5s with flares in some TH-cam videos.

    The volume knob is actually for the passenger instead of the driver as the driver can already change the volume on the steering wheel.

    What's with the Hawian girls hoola skirt length, it used to just reach thier knees now we can't even see her ankles, I think the length is causing issues with her movement so now no longer accurate, maybe you should trim her skirt and re-test the vehicles she was used in, how can we trust the result's :) .

    First love yalls channel, been watchin since Ivan was the random Russian speaking guy. Yall are wrong about the volume knob, it is brilliant. Think about how many times your wife/gf or a passenger in general will reach across to adjust the volume, this placement solves that. The driver has buttons on steering wheel, why does the driver need a knob as well? Thats one thing that annoys me, whats the point of having steering wheel buttons if you have a knob 6inches away that does the same thing.

By the way I think Romans right, EV's are taking market share and specifically Tesla in this price range, as can be seen in the sales stats.

      Garth Hayward even in good applications not much can be equivalent to jeeps 2 L turbo power and 23 to 31 mpg in a Jeep Cherokee which is designed by Ex Mercedes-Benz engineers.
      Not to mention their screens are much easier to use and do everything but change colors of the interior.
      Difference between mpg of manufactures is not near as much as people think but depreciation differences are huge which is your money just disappearing. That’s why I like Jeep because I only have 1k to $2000 of my investment disappearing a year where a car like this $8000 of my money would just disappear every year. Not to mention even more if you bought it brand new

    I think the reason the German cars are losing some of their sales is that a lot of the features they offer are offered by non-luxury brands now. They are starting to lose a lot of their footing there. They are winning on styling (subjectively), being able to say you have a luxury brand, and then in some instances performance. But the first and last points are still accomplished elsewhere.

      They are mainly losing to Koreans not Japanese. Koreans are the only companies bringing in all tech at a significantly lower price. But if you look at both Kia and Hyundai 3 yrs since ur posting, Koreans have become more and more expensive over time due to the fact their popularity. Toyota still offers cheapo looking day to day drivers and their Rav4 hybrid aint getting cheaper.
      Genesis is very expensive even by Audi's, MB, and BMW standards.

    6:17 this may come as a shock to TFL, but the typical Audi buyer can't afford a Tesla. The reason their sales dropped is because cars make up so much of their portfolio and cars are no longer selling. On the other end, average car brands like Ford, Hyundai, Mazda etc are making more competitive and luxury like SUVs. On top of all that, Audi charges very high interest rates on their vehicles and that has not helped either. I don't know why I know more about the auto market than anyone at TFL, but there you go.

  • @dinobot_maximize

    you never buy a audi they dont last. you only lease those horrid german cars who only exist to gouge people who can afford them. honestly it should be illegal to make disposable cars because its immoral in at least two ways, environmentally primarily and wasting peoples money who dont understand that germans make their cars expire on purpose. i wouldnt buy or lease based on that. its just throwing money away on something that cant be handed down to anyone like a toyota can.

    Lease It - if you are into leasing cars.
    Audi has been killing it in design, especially interiors. If I was leasing a car, or only planning on owning it for just a couple years, I would be looking to them. Unfortunately, they still have a heavy stigma of being reliable in the long-term. And for 45K, there's just too much else out there to consider.

  • @CliffWarren

    Yes, a lot of people don't appreciate the application when considering the cost of automotive parts. They may say, this little fan for my computer costs only this much, but for my HVAC in the car it costs three times as much. Well the one for the car has to endure 20 years of bouncing on the road and work from -40 F to 150 F. I work in the semiconductor industry and we have many automotive customers, and these issues are huge. Displays... yeah, take your big screen TV outside and let it sit at -20 F all night, then turn it on. It might be toast, doing that just once.

    Just one comment about the "Virtual Cockpit" screen: last year I bought my first (and last) NEW car, 2018 A5 Cabriolet. I wanted to order exactly what I wanted, but Audi no longer offers the analog gauges, so I bought off the showroom floor, WITH analog gauges. When the top's down, and the sun's at your back, you can't see the VC, it's completely washed out in the sunlight. I hope Audi realizes this, and changes their options in the future; in an SUV, the VC is just fine.

    I like the exterior of the Q3. I saw this car in person at Orange County Auto Show last week. A couple disappointments for me, but I guess it’s not at all unexpected. I am in the market for this type of vehicle. I’m looking into replacing my 2018 VW Tiguan next year. There goes the problems for me. There are so much similarities between Q3 and Tiguan, it almost make no sense for me to step up to Audi. The infotainment systems are very similar. Seat controls and also materials are not that much different. I saw a Cadillac XT4 next to Audi at the OC Auto Show. XT4 has better seats, even low priced XT4 was very well equipped at $38k that includes all wheel drive. I am still on the fence, although initially I did want the Q3.

  • @mindofmission
    @mindofmission 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The “afterthought” volume control is far from an afterthought - it’s for the passenger. The driver has their own volume and track fwd/rev on the steering wheel. Maybe your criticism is afterthought rather than being based on any research.

  • @Hany0Saad
    @Hany0Saad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry folks, the physical volume knob is and was not an after thought or a last minute decision, on the contrary, this was well thought after, it is placed here for a good reason, it is near the passenger to give him full control of the audio system, increase, decrease the volume, fast forward/reverse the tracks, skip tracks and switch off the whole audio system without disturbing the driver, in fact is a brilliant location.....As for the driver, he can control all these functions from the steering wheel or the touch screen

    6:01 - It's not a theory or speculation. It's been documented and reported on since 2012 that the cannibalization of sales due to Tesla have been primarily *German luxury brands.* I'm sure Audi is well aware how a 45K 'budget' model is in direct competition with a specced Model 3 in a lot of markets. How many refreshed or new models has Audi released since 2012? It has nothing to do with models or designs being 'stale'.
    I personally prefer the design inside and out of Audi a million times over Tesla, but Audi's longevity is dependant on them offering more models that compete in drivetrain and tech features with Tesla and the other brands rushing EVs to production.

      Agreed!! Lose the 20's and the roof. Save $2500 right there. Maybe more. Eventually they all leak. Allow extra noise in, and are not safe at all in a roll over crash.

    A like given for the buddy review! Thanks for bringing them back!
    I am tired of all the 2.0 4 cylinders!!! Why do manufacturers copy eachother. I want something different. The 2.0 is as boring as a hybrid and a CVT. Could you show more of the interior than the dash? How comforable are the seats? Three different body types but no comments on the seats except legroom.
    Keep 'em coming TFL!!!

    VW's scandal makes Audis not socially acceptable to buy, that is why sales are down double digits.
