@@michellegor5504 yes but also that doesn’t matter. What matters is how your compacity for learning measures up to your amount of time as well as your tendency to focus. Assess all of those and you can boil down in what amount of time it will be possible for you.
I’m now attending WGU and have completed 10 classes since my start date of October 1st.
My friend did the security so quick so I got curious and decided to look into the school. He also has had experience and needed a degree to progress. I like it so far tbh. Just do nottt fail and exam or you will be doing a while lot of work 💀 if I could offer any advice I’d say get as much done before entering because now I’m sitting here in English 1 and 2 needing to do 8 papers. So before I apply to WGU and figure what classes I need, should I go and get my CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+ and the CISSP certification?
If you're going for the cybersecurity degree, all of them (except the CISSP) are included in your tuition so I'd recommend you just wait and take them at WGU.
I know its a year late but 9 sophia courses in a lil over a week and I hate myself for it ill never do it again
what yours degree program and what are the easiest classes
BSCSIA and workplace communication is the easiest, critical thinking is a close second it throws some unnecessary concepts at the end. I don't get started with WGU for another month Im just hacking through Sophia courses

@@cshoffie6593 nothing I ended up calling completing 10 courses in 10 days, don't do that it was an obsessive amount of work if you pace yourself its fine

So should I apply first to get the list of classes I still need (I have some transfer classes from a community college) and then start doing the classes on sophia and sdc before starting a term at Wgu?
Might as well. It's usually free to apply and they'll be able to tell you exactly which of your classes from the community college will transfer in to the specific WGU degree you're trying to get.
are the 4 comptia certs still trasferable in the new cibersecurity model ??
All comptia certifications will be transferrable as long as they are up to date

Yes and no. Yes in that you can still use Study . com and Sophia to earn credit that you can transfer into WGU. No for some info because they changed some of the courses you do as part of the BSCSIA degree.
I just complete English 2, i would like to know if wgu will accept my general credit from my CC that are kinda old ...Sociology. psychology ect
could you confirm that some certifications that transfer into WGU could cover more than one class ?
I'll be able to confirm 100% in December once my transcripts are finalized, but I'm almost positive that's true based on what I've seen so far.
I took English 101 and English 102 At Fort Stillicom University in 1971. You said WGU only recognizes certifications that are less than 5 years old. Does that also mean credits from former universities? I am going to have to go back to work, Social Security is baankrupt. Got to get new skills.
The page for the degree I'm taking says that IT courses or degrees must have been completed within 5 years of the student's start date to qualify for transfer so unfortunately I don't think your degree will transfer, but I don't know for sure.

Question, I have a bunch of credits from other colleges and I want to know if they will satisfy program requirements. Do I have to apply to WGU before they will tell me if my credits satisfy program requirements or will they just tell? Any help anyone would be great, thank you.

IF you have taken some of the classes from college 5 years do they still count? for example: english 1 and 2.?

The requirements to qualify for the degree is here on the WGU website: www.wgu.edu/resources/degree-comparisons/cybersecurity-bs-ms.html You need a high school diploma or GED, plus demonstrate program readiness using 1 of the 5 options they provide. I think a Sophia course would satisfy the 2nd part, but I'm not sure.
