It’s cool that you go to the same church. Nice briefcases too!

I can't believe the Saddleback Leather briefcases are chestnut. They look so much like DCB to me.

Thanks for your video. Nice to hear from users like yourselves. I love the look of saddleback’s bags but the quality just isn’t there and they are so heavy because of the lining and the glue that they are not as usable for daily carry as they should. The leather parts they use are of less quality (mainly neck and not much bends). You should look at bag from moose leather. Much higher quality than SBL comparable price and MUCH LIGHTER!!! SBL is a gateway brand that gets you interested in quality leather goods, but once people learn more about leather they typically move on. I’ve used SBL bags since 2011 when they were very cheap for the quality you got but now days the value for the money is just no longer really there.

I love your videos! Have you ever owned or tried a bag from KMM &CO? Their leather totes are my favorite and are amazing! I would love to see reviews for their bags on your channel, especially showing some of the different colored bags they have 😌😌😌

Great review! I’m thinking of purchasing the thirteener. It’s hard to tell the width with it empty. For example, could a study Bible fit inside it? Also what was the name of the Carmel color bag? I know you mentioned it’s discontinued but I would love to try and find one if I can.

Hi and thanks! It would totally depend on the measurements of your study Bible. The Thirteener is 2.5" deep and 14.5" wide. The caramel bag is the "Laptop Bag" which is now discontinued. As far as I know, mine is the only caramel Laptop Bag in existence. I'm not sure if they ever made anything else from that color, it seemed like it was a one-off. If you ask around in the fan group, sometimes Saddleback employees will have answers to questions like that though. Good luck!

That is a Laptop Bag, which is now discontinued. I had one in tobacco for a little while. Used it a handful of times, but even on days when I was carrying the least amount of things possible, the laptop bag was still too small for me. If you’re like me and stick things in your bag like a bottle of water, even the thirteener’s depth might be challenging. The thirteener is 2.5” deep-half an inch less deep than the Indiana satchel. If you’re just carrying a laptop and some other small things, it’ll probably work for you, though.

Lucky you!!! If you ever decide to sell it, you’ve got a buyer in me 😁

Thanks for that info. I’m looking for a bag that could definitely hold a water bottle and other items but isn’t too big to carry daily. I thought the thirteener would be a great choice but sounds like the inside may be a little too small. What’s the size of the Indiana satchel you mentioned?

hazel1eyes The Indiana is even smaller, at 11 by 10 by 3. My daily bag is a front pocket messenger, which is 15H by 13.25W by 4.25D, but it also has front pocket and side water bottle pockets (they’re a little tight at first, but with some stretching can fit a water bottle) and it only weighs 4 pounds, which is about the same as the thirteener. Only thing is that it doesn’t have a divider in the main compartment, so I don’t often put my laptop in there with a sleeve. I also have a satchel, which they don’t make anymore, but it’s largely a lower feature version of what they now call the slim leather briefcase. It’s 15.5W by 11H x 4D, but has a front flap pocket and a divided interior (the satchel didn’t have the front pocket and was maybe 5” deep). That’s another good option for a manageable size and weight at 5 pounds.
The smaller bags always lose out of depth for me, and I find I often need more depth than width.

I really like the classic western design of Saddleback briefcases but there's one problem that keeps me away from it is that they use pig skin lining inside of there briefcases which is disgusting I really don't like pigs they are gross and ugly I will never touch Saddleback leather.
