CORRECTION: Shaw was NOT in the original campaign, I got him and Hudson confused. Sorry folks. I've gotten a lot of comments about me missing Black Ops: Declassified. This game is not a Black Ops 1 game. It takes place between Black Ops 1 and 2. It is a completely different game. The reason I included Black Ops on the DS was because the game shared the exact same title screen and name of the game.
you shouldve also mentioned that you can actually map keyboard buttons to bluestacks so that you can walk around and shoot at the same time, seriously how did you not know this?
I love looking into unusual game ports . Some that come to mind are Half-Life 1 on PS2 ; a mobile port of Minecraft that originally only released onto the Sony Xperia Play , (a device that combined a PlayStation and a smartphone together) and GoW on cellphones
I have always appreciated the Wii version because it perfectly represents the concept of "nothing is impossible" and reflects the reason why the Wii was created: to have fun. The Wii was not created for graphics, nor to be a complete competitor to the consoles of those times. It was born to have fun, so this downplayed and weakened version of black ops made perfect sense at the time.
9:22 The servers for all Wii CoDs actually got shutdown on August 1st last year, they all remained playable (apart from WaW) after the 2014 Nintendo WFC shutdown due to them using Nintendo's login servers and not Gamespy's, so you could log on and play like they never shutdown. Nintendo did fuck up the login servers in 2020 and made it so that you'd need to mod your Wii to play again. Then last year the login servers were completely offline, the actual game servers hosted by activision could still be up, but we cant access them. Also these games did have a playerbase till shutdown
the wii was given a pro controller, where you could have aim assist, and DLC does "exist" via code strings for a store, and map icons exist in MP and you can load the five intro cutscene but all of these are cut content. and unrelated but for mw3 on the wii, using the pro controller, you can perform a "commando lunge" like from mw2 on other consoles
BO1 on the wii was *chefs kiss* you could turn the handguns on its side with the wiimote and having the classic goldeneye controller made me a goddess on multi-player and online zombies lol. You didn't even need the sensor bar for it. Also for the online maps they tended to be smaller, they closed off certain areas on maps
I would have loved to seen at least a quick comparison between the 360 and ps3 just for completion sakes and also because there’s a smidge difference lol. I also would have loved to see the computer version running at max settings. If you can, I’d always love seeing comparison vids like that because then you see what the graphics can look like with the engine running at its best possible. Not sure if I’m alone in this, but I just love seeing a truly finished comparison. Pretty good vid and I hope we keep seeing more😊
i still play CoD black ops ds local multiplayer with my brother till this day, still tryna get all the achievements and perks, i just unlocked paper walls (btw i use stylus control, its easier and me and my brother don't play zombies we play death matches)
I had fun memories playing bo1 in ds when i was a kid. We didn't have a real deal console so ds was my only way to play cod. It was fun playing in the bus while others play psp games 😂
My first ever COD was Black Ops 1 on the DS, and funny enough, I had Black Ops 2 for the 360, but my parents refused to buy me Xbox Gold because they thought it was stupid, so I had no way to play cod online unless there was a free-to-play weekend, which was rare, so I purposely bought Black Ops 1 on the Wii just so I could play online. After finding out it was a Wii game that still supported online play after the shutdown, I became really good with the Nun Chuck and Wii remote.
I used to get into COD on the WII. So I was at school and some of my friends were asking if I was going to get it. Not knowing what 'Black ops 1' was, I just asked my dad to get it for me (via definitely legal ways because my WII for sure could definitely read legal game disks.....), and honestly, it was the best decision ever. I got it eventually for PC, for PS3, then for XBOX One (the PC one I ended up playing last since it took me a long time to get an actual game PC). Ever since then I've fallen in love with COD until I think CW (CW I still somewhat liked but after it, I just lost interest). Now I recently did get back into playing older CODs on PC (via Plutonium) and I'm having a blast. Oh, I also got BO1 for the DS (also through very legal ways...) but yeah that was an odd game
I played Black Ops Zombies on my old Android phone, and one of the things that you didn't mention was that it had three control setups, the first is moving your character with the virtual joystick and using the camera by dragging the screen, the second is duel joysticks for both movemenr and camera, and the third is gyro for just the camera.
I have black ops 1 on my 3ds and mw3 i knew there was cod zombies on phone before it was removed i wish i had it tho because i genuinely wanted it for the longest time i also knew about the wii version but again never played it (3ds bo1 zombies)
Hey! I'm pretty curious on where you got that Black Ops Zombies android version with that control scheme. I thought those control scheme was on Apple only? Is it an old version of the game, or?
Last year I downloaded Black Ops Zombies Mobile, I lost literally in the 2nd wave the controls were bad i didnt know how to move i just shoot the zombies.
I mean... at this point in time everyone knows about all Black Ops versions. DS version was actually very easy to control... at least in real life with stylus and touch-screen it was far better than PS3 controller. DS version calling again... in zombies every map has 3 rooms, mystery box and bunch of wall guns (not 2)... also DS version switched things up with economics making $1800 gun not that expensive. Wii version: what do You mean You need to reach Your thumb all the way to the d-pad? Wii remote is shaped in a way that You need to have Your thumb close to A-button and D-pad. Also im not sure but default controls actually had Z as sprint and A as aim which sounds better at least for me. Wii version 2: actually there were handful of servers still active before shutdown... TDM only. I dont know when it happened but I played Wii MP like 3yrs ago and it worked. Wii 3: good luck with these controls... I got to round 64 on Wii and I cant get pass through round 20 on regular controller 😅
Yeah, no. The DS and the wii versions didn't do bo1 any justice and the ps3, xbox 360 and pc ports did it better. I can also tell you're not used to traditional control schemes
@@airtiger4577 GBA in 2002. Then DS in 2005, Wii and PSP in 2007, 3DS on day-one (early 2011) and PS3/NGC shortly after. Switch on day-one and I bought N64 a year ago xD Thats my full history of consoles.
On the multiplayer on Wii camos were obviously included along gold camo, but due to the Wii hardware they made it to look like dirt on a gun, no shine, looked like the basic camos. And messed up part? Same requirements like the main console conterparts🤦♂️
I own both the DS and Wii versions and I agree for the DS, the zombies mode is not the best bro I keep dying on it 😭😭😭 I've noticed, you stated that you could only steer the boat in the first part of the level and you couldn't shoot any enemies from the helicopter. This is wrong however, instead of steering it in the first part you steer it at the second part after all the action, the helicopter part plays more or less the same as the other versions. Also, you can connect a wii classic controller (basically just a normal controller) to your wiimote and get to play Black Ops more normally similar to the other consoles, except you can't click the thumbsticks so you gotta sprint and melee with the face buttons.
@@DelXeno there was one you did forget though there was a black ops 1 mobile port. Not the mobile zombies but a j2me file campaign, completely separate game but its a black ops game
