  • Hi everyone! The snapdragons have arrived in all of their glory! I don't know why they love my farm so much, but I'm not complaining. Come along while I harvest summer flowers to stock up the stand. I challenged myself to make some red, white and blue themed bouquets for the 4th, and I think I achieved the mission!
    Thanks for watching!

I loved your red white and blue arrangements! They were so pretty (most others I saw looked a too in-your-face for my liking). Yours were soft, subtle, and beautiful 😍

That rose thorn stripping tool...you just saved my life. 😅 I've noticed especially the perennialized snaps take forevvvver.
And wow your snqps are stunnnning! I planted all Madames this year and can't wait.
Love the 4th of July bouquets, the red astilbe looks like fireworks! You can use the pics to market earlier next year I bet they will all sell out. 💛

Right?! I did end up donating them to the retirement home, so they didn’t go to waste 🥰

I know LMZ talks about her yarrow being annual and reseeding in only white and less desirable colors but I literally don’t know what she’s talking about because I grow the same yarrow and it is perennial as can be and has returned true for me.

I have found that hucheras are not particularly reliable in being perennial unless they are a villosa species.
I'll be curious to see how your huchera do with overwintering.
I had invested a boatload of coin to add huchera to my shade landscape and couldn't figure out why only some came back. Then I stumbled on the info that the villosa are hardy and the rest are basically an annual in cold climates. Sure enough, every huchera that had returned in my gardens, and was vigorous, was a villosa.

That is very interesting, I’ve never heard that before! We will see how they do this winter. 🤞 thank you for the info!
