Ooo another fascinating location! I really like old museums and seeing how people lived a long time ago. I loved the courtyard. For some strange reason I’ve always loved courtyards, especially in old buildings 😂. This is the best kind of travel- no rushing around trying to see everything in one day! Thanks for sharing ❤❤
Guys, again, if neither of you have ever had experience as videographers or the process of creating videos, your abilities and creativity truly surprise me. Also, you obviously work well together. Bravo.
That's a great compliment, really appreciate it! We're having fun! After 22 years we really enjoy being together, and having fun together while sharing our experiences is really great for us.
hi guys thoughly enjoyed this video. History is my thing and i loved how much you showed especially what was found in the ship wrecks, I had to pause the video and enlarge the screen so i could get a better look at the artifacts. How are you both enjoying your new room, from my own sons experience i bet playing your VR is so much more fun now with the larger cabin not crashing into your bed all the time. love from lozzy Uk x
Glad you enjoyed it! We really enjoyed it and love sharing. We love the new room. It’s kinda crazy how much it has improved our satisfaction in the cabin. The VR benefits are great for us both, as Chris has room and Michael can be comfortable without risking getting hit as Chris plays:)
Any information on the Villa Vie’s recent decision to sue Jeff from Backroads Tourist? I was just wondering if the residence had any say in that. I love love love the new stateroom. You guys definitely made the right decision to upgrade.
Thanks. We don’t have any input into the company legal processes, nor any info there. We also prefer to stay away from such things and enjoy our retirement:). Thanks for the comment on the cabin.
You two are just a hoot to watch! Great ambassadors for Villa Vie taking it all in stride. Both of you are capable of finding fun anywhere you are. You may have said this & I missed it but what did the both of you do in your career lives. Yes I am aware that Jon Cryer was a tv star 😂😂… but seriously
Hey! Thanks so much, and you’re right, we’re just starting to show what’s happening and really enjoy bringing it to you. Michael was a corporate officer for a few companies and then a Publisher for his last job, and Chris is a Clinical Psychologist by training but transitioned into a healthcare analytics career. We loved our careers but are really loving retirement and our travel. So happy you are coming along with us!
Your videos are so amazing. You two seem so comfortable making these vlogs You both are naturals! Your videos are fun, informative, and the scenery is beautiful. Good job.🎉🎉🎉
Thanks, so glad you enjoy them! We’re loving getting to share the adventure with you:). We so appreciate your good vibes and support. We are comfortable and getting more so as we get more experience. Really glad you are here!
Hi again, my friends. I’m glad to learn you are visiting new locals in countries and islands that you have visited before. I love museums and love to get lost in them so I’m glad you had 3 days here to keep you from feeling rushed. Many years ago, I took my mom to Paris and with all the choices of how to spend our days, she opted for a second day at the Musee d’Orsay so she could just sit in the middle of one of the Monet rooms and be engulfed by her favorite artist for hours. So yeah, I get you! Keep enjoying and posting. I get real pleasure sharing your adventures! Hugs, Linda 😊
Hey, Linda! Thanks so much! Sounds like you have been on some great adventures. We really appreciate your kind words and support and love sharing our adventures with you. So glad you are here!
How wonderful you had 3 days to explore! We're avid cruisers. While there are so many advantages to cruising the downside is that time in each port is typically limited.
Hey, we agree! It’s great to have a little more time to explore, and we’re happy we had the opportunity to show it to you! It really gives us what we were missing on typical cruises. Glad you are here!
I love watching your adventures. I was fantastically hooked to your channel when it came across my feed! Lol! Our family is in Bell Buckle, TN, building an agricultural and event business on 75 acres. I love the occasional cruise but I do love the country. I am living vicariously through you a bit! I wonder if you two are ever concerned about safety at the various ports. Be safe and have fun!!!
Thanks, and we appreciate you coming along! We're having a blast, and we will always keep safety in mind. Sometimes we stay aboard if we have any concerns, but generally we are pretty conscientious and therefore comfortable. We lived in Nashville so we know Bell Buckle!
I’m so happy to see this side of the DR. I have to say that after experiences on a cruise ship with the excursions we took, I had no interest in going back. You helped change my mind. Very interesting place! Thanks!
To have a beautiful ocean view while floating in a cruise ship, must be amazing! If I could afford to live on a cruise ship, the view alone would be worth the expense.
If you ever find yourself in Progresso MX, say hi and i’ll come meet you. I live as an expat in Merida, Yucatán. This year, the city is celebrating 487 years. Love your content!
@rejoicemusicnet Glad you like them! No, so far all the shuttles have been provided by Villa Vie or the port. That’s been wonderful. Perhaps there will be situations where that’s not possible in the future, but so far it’s been great.
This was an absolutely beautiful video. We have been to Dominican Republic but never to the capitol. Cannot wait to explore that one day. Also what editing software do you guys use? The video quality and production quality are really good.
Hey! You can bring anything aboard, with really no real restrictions. We don’t have large refrigerators or kitchens, but food, alcohol, drinks, etc. are all ok. Thanks for coming along.
It's important to remember that Hispaniola was NOT founded by the Spanish, it was conquered by them, or more politely expropriated. It was a major port for the gold fleets of the Spanish crown, the ships that carried the gold and silver extracted from Mexico and South America. And finally it was a major port for bringing slaves into the Americas. Not just a friendly, colorful tourist stop for those of us with historical memories. Both Santo Domingo and Havana were large cities with very "cosmopolitan" vibes following the Spanish conquest
Went to D.R in the 90s .....and it still blows me away how one side of the island is a tropical paradise....while the other side is a 3rd world hell hole.....
I am enjoying your channel and other youtubers onboard the Villa Vie. But it is sad that Villa Vie is sending cease and desist letters to a popular youtuber. BackRoads Tourist. I found his channel interesting for updates and it is how i found all you guys to watch. I am smart and know how to balance my views and read between the lines. But silencing a differing view makes me think more negatively about Villa Vie.
Love your content but am surprised about how Villa Vie is treating another content creator. I’m sure you are aware of the cease and desist letter that was sent by Villa Vie to this content creator. Shouldn’t here free to share his opinions and stories he hears about Villa Vie? People can then make their own decisions on whether to buy😊
Hey. Yes, we take time to produce our content, and we choose to have some lag and do it the way we like versus faster. Quality takes time:). We do some videos that are more current, though, like Villa Vie Vibes, as they are quicker to produce and edit. Hope you’ll stay tuned!
Strange that you would post about a non-resident TH-camr on a site of true Villa Vie'rs who make the most of the experience and bring us wonderful content.

Hey, we appreciate you saying so! We’re trying to capture the feeling of the places we’re visiting:)
what will we do with a drunkin sailor .... lol loved the background ditty!! and always love watching your adventures
Hey, glad you liked the music! It's fun to find things like that and bring them to you!
Another wonderful video.
Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Hey, we really appreciate you coming along on the journey!
Such a beautiful and fascinating city. Great that you got to have 3 days there and didn’t have to pack a bunch of things in a short period of time.
Thanks, we were really impressed with Santo Domingo! And the no packing thing ROCKS:)
Interesting. I also had no idea. Thanks for the video and info.
Thanks for the comment and coming along with us!

Hey! That’s so cool to hear. We love going behind the real stories and we appreciate that you enjoy our approach. Cheers!:)
I think that might would be my favorite part of residential cruising, the ability to stay several days and then your home moves with you! 🎉
We agree! We love the ability to be able to settle in and then move on!
Thank you for the tour! I’ve been to the DR at least 35x…but never Santo Domingo! You have now given me a reason to not miss this region 😍
We’re so glad you’re enjoying the journey! Hope we can inspire you to explore this part of the world, and recommend you go when you can.
I love seeing the world with you guys. Your videos really makes me feel like I’m right there
Hey again! Thank you so much! What a great compliment! We love sharing and love having you here, as always:)

Thanks, that sounds like a great time! We’ll try to make it if we're back in the area! We did a video on Merida a few years back. We love it there!
Really enjoying your videos! Do you pay an additional fee for the shuttle?
@rejoicemusicnet Glad you like them! No, so far all the shuttles have been provided by Villa Vie or the port. That’s been wonderful. Perhaps there will be situations where that’s not possible in the future, but so far it’s been great.

Nice that you can spend a few days in port to tour the area rather than trying to cram everything in 8 hrs.
Hey! We are so glad you are here and agree. This is one of the best parts! Thanks for your support!

@ No. It’s an unbiased youtuber
Why should we discuss that here. Let her run her own complaint department. I love your content.
@@alanj2741 how do you know he’s unbiased if he’s not an actual resident? He’s probably doing it for clicks.

Why do you post things so late? You're talking about the middle of December and it's already the middle of January...
Maybe you should purchase a cabin and travel along. Then you don’t have to be bothered by when they post their content.
