Thank you guys for posting your daytime events. I follow a few people on this ship and really enjoy hearing about how you're all doing. I think about what I would do if I were living on the ship.
This was precisely what I have been hoping to see, a true vlog of daily life onboard. None of the other bloggers have shown this. Thank you. While it’s interesting to see port days, that's not what I am curious to learn about. Will be interesting to see a "sea" day, a rainy day, etc. Thank you for sharing.
We’re so glad you are enjoying the videos and that you found this helpful. We're looking forward to sharing more too! You just gave us some great ideas. Thanks and stay tuned:)
New residents are gradually joining the ship at different ports. It's my understanding that a fairly significant number are joining the ship in Panama. Because this is a residence ship, the residents can come and go as they please meaning that the numbers will fluctuate.
Hey, Susan. The community is slowly growing. We had about 200 residents for that video but now have about 300. Folks come and go so the number fluctuates. We are seeing lots of new faces and enjoying meeting our new neighbors. Glad you are coming along with us!
Loved seeing you guys hanging out on the ship, eating, socializing, etc. Would love if you showed more glimpses into your ship life during your regular videos showcasing destinations.
Such a fun day. I’m with Michael, sleeping a little later, coffee quiet time then I’d go to the gym. The great part is that you have your own individual routines then you come together for lunch and an afternoon of exploring. Keep enjoying the dream. I’m looking forward to beginning mine too.❤❤
Again, I love the time and preparation y’all spend in making these videos. Your work is impressive! Chris, I was so glad you took the stretching class! It’s so important to keep the connective tissue happy 🤣. Michael, I love how you start your day also. It’s so great that y’all allow each other to start with your own rhythms. My husband and I do that as well. It looks like y’all are having a fabulous life!
Hey, Kim! Thanks so much! We are both enjoying our individual ways while also getting great time together and with others. We hope you will stay with us and are so happy to have you here:)
Looks like an amazing life. I would be so tempted as I’m retired but I have a cute doggy, I visit my mum in her 80s twice a week and still have an adult son living with me. I was lucky enough to spend a few years traveling the world in my early 20s so I can’t complain. Enjoy these wonderful travels and remember how fortunate we are compared to most people of this world. Best wishes to you both. Xx
Hey! We understand not leaving your pup. We began traveling only after losing our two cats at 17 and 18 years old. Also sounds like your family still needs you, so we will do our best to keep you up to speed on our adventures. So happy you are here:)
I am really glad I found you. I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your routines with us!🥰 You both are so inviting and not "overacting" like another channel I used to follow on this journey. Keep up the great work and I am also enjoying going back in time and watching past videos of yours.
Thanks so much! We appreciate you joining us and so glad you’re enjoying the videos. We are trying to be real and honest, and at the same time positive and balanced. Your feedback means so much to us and is very much appreciated:)
Love love love your videos. My mom is on the boat with you…Marti Eicholz. My husband (Steve) and me (Bob) hope😮 to meet you guys on a segment or at least during a port Visit. Bob Eicholz…will try to find you!
Hey! How cool! Your mom is awesome and we just wished her a happy birthday! Her energy and outlook is so positive! Can’t wait to meet you two and so appreciate it, @pintobob76! Please come see us! Thanks for coming along!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it! And you’re right, the gym is awesome! The classes are included. Personal training is extra, but group classes are free.
We love to share our adventures, so glad you liked it! Sharing a regular day is a good way to really give you an honest and unedited peek into life here. Glad you enjoyed it:)
I loved the stretching class we had on our recent cruise. Good for you guys for prioritizing health. Such a great idea providing this post. Happy holidays!
I loved it!! This is the video that got my subscription! I've been watching you guys on and off for months. This video made me want to meet you both! That's what I like to feel!❤Thank you!
Thank you for giving a glimpse into your day. Your presetnation/content is very enjoyable, in addition to the length of the video. Looking forward to the next. Enjoy!
Thanks so much! We are loving it but it’s not for everyone. Have you cruised before? We admit it’s a different way to live but we are loving it. We keep our home in DC so we can have a permanent place and know it’ll feel good to get back there periodically. So glad you’re coming along with us!
Thank you, i enjoyed your post. We always stay on a ship 2-4 weeks at a time but will be onboard for 7 weeks starting in January. This will be a "test run" to see if we can really settle in to this lifestyle and not treat it like a vacation. 😊
Looks like you are having a grand time...I hope you continue throughout your time there to enjoy the lifestyle. I know that I would be bored after a bit because I am not a really big social person and I love my alone time to read and study, etc. but my husband would love it as he is the 'social butterfly' in our family.
Hey! Thanks so much! We are having fun and also need quiet, as we are both kind of introverted as well. We enjoy being here and having a cabin to retreat to is important to us, along with a mix of social and quiet areas outside our cabin. Hope you’ll stay tuned, and thank you again!
You are definitely living the good life. It seems so stress free compared to “real life” on land! You can focus on your quality of life. I love it! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing! What a way to enjoy life! The food looks absolutely delicious. Do you have to eat at the formal dining room 2x a week, or is the buffet option available too? I don’t really enjoy having to dress formally for meals 😬. Wow.. you guys wake up early and sleep quite late 😮. I’m such a sloth 🦥 .. will likely miss breakfast every morning if I were onboard 🤣🤣
Hey! Thanks so much! The food really is good and the good news is that even in the dining room you don’t have to dress up! As more people come aboard the dining venues will operate with more capacity. It’s really been great so far. Glad you are here!
Hey Christine! We are getting into a good rhythm. Life is beginning to feel normal aboard while still seeing all these cool places with our new neighbors. Really appreciate your good vibes!
Great video. I love getting a view at what your typical day looks like. It's making life at sea seem very interesting and do-able. For the other days when the main dining room isn't open, is the buffet open for dinner? Thanks.
Thank you for a very informative view into daily life. For all practical purposes, exactly as we spend our days on most cruises. May I ask, because my wife uses a wheelchair, when docked are there ramps? Thank you
Hey! Thanks so much for coming along with us! From what we have seen, there are various ways that folks with mobility needs are being served. Some ports have had amazing facilities like Panama City, while others have been more limited. There are definitely folks onboard that are requiring such facilities and thus we believe you would be fine. Thanks again!
I’m curious about the sense of community that the residents are building among themselves. Do you get a sense that the residents are slowly but surely building friendships, cooperating, sharing skills and knowledge, helping others, etc? In a regular cruise, most relationships are fleeting or ephemeral. But on the VV, you’re neighbors within your floating city. I sure hope there are other residents there with whom you could become close friends.
Hey! Great question. Thanks. Yes, we see community coming together, and it’s definitely different from a typical cruise. We are getting more and more close to some of our new friends and see others doing the same. It’s a diverse community, and thus people seem to be finding their tribe while also being part of the larger community. We are also enjoying new folks coming on, and already missing some who’ve left for a while. We like it and are finding balance as well with our alone time, which is very important to us. Glad you are here:)
How do they deal with food allergies / intolerances? For example, I have a garlic and raw onion intolerance. Would I be able to order my steak & potatoes without garlic? Or is everything just prepared the same way? I noticed the allergen warning at the bottom of the menu, very good. But still people prefer to avoid certain ingredients. Can they give you information on ingredients in dishes so you can make an educated choice? Thanks!
Hey. Good question. We were asked about any allergies and food preferences and have found the chef and culinary team to be so accommodating and really helpful. There is the ability to order many items off the menu, but the buffets are of course prepared in larger quantities. We feel you’d be able to eat according to your preferences on board. Thanks for coming!
Hey Melissa! Tipping isn’t necessary, and we only tip when we choose. Very different from a typical cruise. We do have a wonderful team onboard, though, and we try to do what we feel is right to show our thanks in many ways. Glad you are coming along!
When you factor in room and board/meals/sights/beautiful ocean views, etc., and no property taxes, maintenance, utilities, HOA fees, did I say MAINTENANCE (ugh), lawn service, did I forget something? Is this cheaper in the long run?
@jlanderson21257 it’s hard to say cheaper because it just depends on where you lived before and what you buy onboard. There is someone we spoke to though who bought just and inside cabin but used to live in an expensive home in a US metropolis. Cheaper for him now but you still have to account for what happens in 15 years. We are working on a financials video so stay tuned for that because it might help you.
@@dchiddengems I will stay tuned! For me, the idea of living on the ocean is a dream come true, but I just don't know about the difference n financials. Thanks for responding. and God bless on your adventure!
Hey! Drink prices vary but are less than half of what we’ve seen most anywhere. The current package is $25 a day now. Compared to 4 times that or more on big commercial lines. Of course wine and beer is free at lunch and dinner, so we aren’t drinking much beyond what is already included. Thanks for being here!
Hey! There are two pools. They are not yet operating all the time due to some repairs needed. They aren’t tiny, but not real lap pools. You could do laps, but they’d be short and you’d be a master at turns, for sure:) Thanks much for coming along!
Hey. We have seen some dance classes. Not seen Zumba but we have lots of residents who sometimes lead all types of activities. Thanks for coming with us!
The video shows a dancing group performing. How often do the swap out this kind of entertainment. I would think it would need to be fairly often because the passengers aren't changing.
@kathycoutinho5665 yes shows are seldom repeated. When they happen they are usually a group who comes aboard from the port country we happen to be visiting. Shows are limited now but will increase as time goes on.

Living like kings.

This was brilliant! I would love this life. I haven’t been on a cruise, I’ve hardly travelled….this life seems perfect
@dawnscott4127 You should! Find your joy!
Looks like a lovely life. Enjoy❤
We’re really enjoying it - thanks for the good wishes, and for being a part of this community!
One thing that I’ve noticed is how deserted the ship appears. How many residents are onboard?
New residents are gradually joining the ship at different ports. It's my understanding that a fairly significant number are joining the ship in Panama. Because this is a residence ship, the residents can come and go as they please meaning that the numbers will fluctuate.

Hey! Thanks so much. That’s really kind. We met 22 years ago and have been together ever since. Glad you’re here!
I am team Michael on this one, sleep a little later…. 😂😂
Hey! Michael here. It’s good to have such distinguished company:). Thanks for being here!
I see Angela behind you in the living room
Hey! Yes, you’re right! Thanks for the comment and coming with all us Villa Vie-er’s!
I just got a vr and I am still trying to figure it out. I love it.
@tinahindi so glad that you do. I love it too. Wander is my favorite travel app and Asgards Wrath 2 is my favorite game.
Eating healthy and going to the gym. Sounds like the complete opposite of vacation. 😂
I'm not sure they think this a vacation. It's a residential ship.
Hey! Yeah, we hear you! The thing is it’s not a vacation, we are here much of the time so we’re having to check ourselves. Glad you’re here!
Hey! Thanks. You’re exactly right!
@@ikeameltdown8012 Sure but if I had a chef in my house making me a buffet three times a day I also wouldn't be eating healthy.
It looks like my idea of hell.
@Freespeech1947 there’s still time
Gym then bf
@GertduPreez true that!
Really enjoying your videos- best of all from Villa Vie. ✌️🌴🛳️
