Your Home Vacuum Former Platform Design is Bad?

I think the world of amateur vacuum forming needs to improve their machine designs.
If your machine looks similar to this it is not a good design. I explain why!
If you are making parts for anything, and especially RC car bodies, you need to work smarter on your design.

Do you take vacuum forming commissions? I've been trying to extend this hpi escalade body by an inch just can't get it figured out.

Hello, we will run your mold if you have one done. But we are not making new molds for people at this time. Too much of our own stuff to make right now.

Would you make any other suggestions for someone designing their vac former? I'm looking at making one to make myself an RC body and potentially a few more very short runs if my mates like it.

Does your machine use a keyhole design? Or some sort of quick lock that mounts to the extrusion?
