Awesome work, and I could easily have been the elderly man at the gas station. How much work did you put into the car apart from the engine? I’m thinking about the chassis, rust mending, paint job, interior and so on? Since I can’t find any new car to buy that I like anymore (obviously, no new Saabs have been built for a very long time now), I’m playing with the thought to have a 9-5 Aero SW rebuilt into factory condition - with a few modern add ins. I’m trying to figure out what the cost would be for that kind of endeavour.
I have done everything except touching The interior and I have done everything myself. I would Imagine a full renewal at a workshop would cost something like 100 ksek
@@JonasKakarikas Yes, that is the ballpark number I had in mind as well... And a Saab 9-5 Aero SW in a reasonably good shape is in the range of 20-40K. The question is - which generation to get. Hey Jonas, im having doubts about my 2005 05 aero; Bought it with 122km put 14km on it before it developed the nastiest exhaust manifold leak (Broken studs im told) which makes a clapping noise, almost sounds like rodknock.
