I grew up in Brownsburg in the late 50's and the 60's. I graduated High School in Brownsburg in 1971. For me, it's just very sad to see the small town I grew up in become so developed and changed. I had a great childhood growing up there. It was much better back in the 60's.
I remember that '78 blizzard just like you do! We lived in Indianapolis at the time, near Speedway, and I recall opening the door just like that! I lived in Plainfield through my sophomore year and recall Indiana Raceway Park very well. My friend's mom worked at the ticket gate and she would always be able to get us in during the big weekends. Love that drag strip and the all the race/car activities around there. Also, I was the ICE CREAM MAN to many of those neighborhoods; I learned of Brownsburg the best by driving through all of it in that ol' ice cream truck :)
Hello Tony! You mentioned that there are hundred of millions of dollars of developments coming to Brownsburg, and I’m curious about that! I know that they are currently working on phase 2 of The Arbuckle, do you think you could list other developments? Hope there are more coming to downtown Brownsburg! 5:33
