So true. My husband had so much in his back before- and then I got cancer. He had nobody to talk to. I almost died a couple of times, and he had to wait for me in the surgical waiting room- alone. Trying to figure out how to tell our kids, family, and friends that I was gone. An 8 hour surgery turns to 14. An emergency surgery the next day that was supposed to be 2 hours turned into 7. A third emergency surgery- I lost all of the tissue on my left side and even though he spent days in terror, he was there, reassuring me. Holding me up in the shower. Stripping my drains. He is strong, but needs to be seen. It’s ok to be scared. It’s ok to share. Let’s normalize men taking about their feelings.

We, being the ones who are left here just have to find new ways on a daily basis to live with the pain and keep pushing forward. I lost my fiancée in 2017.5yrs later and it still hasn't gotten any easier.I miss him now more then ever. He's my rock and best best friend. I'm sorry for your loss and anyone else's.

@@silverlining9120 I'm so very sorry for your loss. No, it surely doesn't get any easier with time. We, being the ones who are left here just have to find new ways on a daily basis to live with the pain and keep pushing forward. I also lost my son in 2014 to drug addiction & ultimately suicide and I don't believe a day goes by that I don't think of him multiple times.

This resonates with me deeply. Ive absolutely changed my life around, addiction kills, at one point i was in a bad place, now looking back where i am. I have to work on forgiving myself. But i keep going, everyday, and faith has been a goto for me, i pray. Amen brother, this is dope!
