Started reading this yesterday evening and couldn’t put it down until I’ve finished reading the Father Duré and the Bikuras story. Simply fantastic! Loved the concept art!
Aenea...my goodness, not as I pictured these wonderful characters from my absolute favorite sci fi series of all time... but why not? The universe Dan Simmons built- breathtaking, moving, detailed, richly detailed- I have mixed feelings about making a series only bc its hard to envisioning it doing justice- but I will certainly be watching... thanks for this post!!
The only one I'd see differently is Martin Silenus. He doesn't strike my as the jovial drunk. And I'd make his beard a goatie and give him pointy-ish ears to evoke the Satyr. The other ones are spot on 👌
Amazing work. It would be great if the books had their own interactive content in the form of music, pictures or short videos. This helped me a lot to create the right atmosphere and imagine what the heroes of the book look like. I also looked up pictures of the Ydrassil ship. It could be a tool to revive the reading experience not only for this book. It could be the future of the modern reading experience. It's a shame that only fans are doing it so far and it's not an official product. Thank you so much for the video anyway. 👍👏
@DH33.0 Yes, that is the holy truth. This book is a bit more difficult for me to create my fantasy...This video and other content on the internet helped me get into that world faster. It's a great idea. It's something extra that the reader can get.👍👏
Despite that i have immagined Maina Gladsone as Charlotte Rampling, with rest im very much in. However i imagined Kassad as less skinny - he was an Arab and those i know, are heavier built. Johnny and Severn for me will always have face of Ben Whishaw. he would be so great Keats.
Wasn’t the Consul supposed to be a tad portly and balding? Moneta looks just as I pictured her in my mind though. I always thought she’d look like the main girl in Martyrs. The OG movie. The one that attacked the family not the one that they eventually martyred later.
Finally, a worthy use of AI generated images. That was top class. I thought the Consul looked a bit young but overall a fantastic effort. Makes me want to reread the books
I think it's not really clear why she turned into the Shrike in the first book. I'm not sure if Simmons knew where he was going with that plot line at that time.
@@zenithconcepts1 I advise you to read it, this book is simply incredible, I did not believe when I read that such a book could be written in 1970. the technologies that are described there even now have not occurred to many science fiction writers

Books can never be beaten as it’s the readers imagination that interprets it. Imagination is godly.

Started this series in early August. Only about 100 pages left in Rose of Endymion until I'm finished.

Shrike is never drawn well. I don't know why they never make it the way it is described in the books.
