Just a heads up that I tried the same thing with our Niro EV, but when checking the light output from the fog lights I found them to be completely unfocused on the road. It seems that similar to the headlights, the fog lights are very sensitive to the location of the filament on the halogen bulbs. These types of bulbs will result in a totally useless throw pattern.
Hi good day and happy new year 2022. I tried to remove the H10/9006HB3 foglight light socket to my Kia e-niro 2021 model but it so hard to remove. Can I ask a detail video on how to it from the foglight housing? Thanks 🙏
Ahuizotl Xiuhcoatl on the headlights you grab the base of the bulb and turn in counter clockwise. Like you were turning a dial. It helps if you are having trouble to disconnect the cable going to the light. You need to turn the bulb enough to line up the locking tabs to remove the bulb. Once it is far enough you will know because it will not turn any further. That tab you are taking about is why you have to disconnect the wire going to the bulb first before you try to remove the bulb. Let me know how it goes
@@niroevj3477 I did unplug it and I'm grabbing the black base of the bulb, turning counterclockwise. It turns a tiny bit then refuses to budge. The tabs don't align so I can't pull it out. I'm twisting as hard as I can so I think something is stopping it from turning. It's the same on both sides. Edit: looks like I just needed to overcome the initial resistance. Just tried again and it came out. thanks

I am going to be getting a eNiro in March 2020. Thanks for doing the LED conversion video. I can’t seem to find info on the rear TURN INDICATOR lights. Are they LED and if not, can they be converted? Do you know?
Lance Harris they are NOT led. The problem with the turn signals is you cannot access the rear signals. There is no way that I have found to get in there. The manual says you have to take it in to the dealer if the bulbs need to be replaced which is crazy.
I also want to do the same color matching. Could you please provide more info about the modification you did for the bracket? I probably will buy the same bulb as yours. Any plan for a short video regarding to the bracket modification? Thanks!
Li Fu I didn’t do a video because I didn’t want to encourage people to modify the bulbs. If you want to modify it however use some cutters like I show in the video. Line up the bulb in the socket and see which tab is not lining up and snip it off. 2 tabs are more than strong enough to hold the bulb. Hope this helps!
Couldn't you just get a new fog light module for the canbus/fuse box/relay or whatever? You said your car uses H10 for the fog lights but I've got a 2017 Niro and it looks like it uses H8 fog lights. Wonder if you know anyone with a Niro that uses H8 and whether or not they needed the resistor or a module. Thanks for the video!!
H10 led bulbs does not fit on 2022 niro ev....... My 2022 niro ev takes 9006/HB4 led bulbs. I've been using the BEAMTECH brand with great results and no need for resistors.

The bulb you use should be the same as a normal one, vertically oriented. Not this one he used

Can you be more specific about removing the bulb? There seems to be a plastic ring or tab in the way and I can't turn it at all.

Ahuizotl Xiuhcoatl you are just grabbing the bulb and not the housing. Just turn the base of the bulb like you were unscrewing the bulb. Nothing else

Headlights are 9005 type and fog lights are H8 type. I have the same 2019 Kia Niro Hybrid Touring as well.
FYI, yellow fog light bulbs cut through the fog better than a white light. The white light reflects fog. Kind of defeats the purpose of fog lights.
This never was true. Which is why no fog lights are yellow anymore.

This is just an educated guess but I think it probably will need one.

Dean Cosmic no. The bulbs are specific. You have to get the correct bulb or the connector will not connect. The fog lights need h10 bulbs
