Wow! This is so amazing! What a wonderful and kind idea!
I was a cna for years at a nursing home and NOTHING brings a smile bigger than animals. Many from their generations had a closer relationship with animals than later generations. We had a fish tank, big bird aviary, chickens in the spring, 2 cats that lived in the facility and a bunny. We also had several people being their pups by too.
This is wonderful. Great idea. God bless you all and stay safe 🙏😇

This is awesome! Went to an Alpaca farm in Kingston, Arizona for a family vacation they are a remarkable animal. A matter in fact there wool was highly prized in ancient times, Precious as gold and gems.
Precious. ♥️
Thanks
"What a cute alpac...*spits on old person*"
Its kinda sad it takes a pandemic for people to do this. The elderly, especially those in homes are often lonely people and could use visitors regardless of a pandemic.
My aunt raises llamas in Illinois. Great animals
I love alpacas and the intention is very good, but I think we should assume all mammals could be susceptible to Sars-CoV-2 and act accordingly.
@S C Tigers, cats and dogs have contracted the virus. There's no evidence camelids can get it - so far. Camelids can get MERS-CoV. If people were more careful (no 'wet markets') this would not have happened in the first place.
@S C "We first found high conservation of ACE2 genes among common mammals at
both DNA and peptide levels, suggesting that a broad range of mammalian
species can potentially be the hosts of SARS-CoV-2. "

That's adorable, but a thought struck me. Alpacas are in the same family order as Camels. Aren't Camels one of the few animals that can transmit COVID-19?
😳
So you can walk around with an alpaca but God forbid you buy vegetable seeds or an American flag
Go watch Steve Lehto's channel. You can buy seeds.
I bought mine last week from Amazon (seeds and flag that is) still looking for the alpaca
