Thanks Steve, Courtney and Colton! Placed my order just now of several gourmet (flank) varieties for my family who I know will love trying them out. 👍🏼❤
Colton is so entertaining. He’s such a smart young fella!! I loved the pinch yo grandma flank jerky from Matt Hat. Was the perfect level of flavor and spice!
Are you talking about Slim Jim’s? I’m not a big jerky fan but your video is delightful. Watching you 3 is a great way to start the day. Thanks for the review.😊
@@SeriousKeto The "Carnivore Bar" kills me how expensive it is. I make my own pemmican. Hey, maybe that could be your next video: homemade pemmican. The original Power Bar.
Love what you guys are doing! Keep it up. Feedback: The prices on Matts Jerky are ridiculous, cmon bro! For a 16oz clean jerky from the butcher I pay ~$20. Matt's jerky, from the web site, is $53 for 12oz bag. Cant afford that.
Bacon jerky is definitely on my "to do" list this winter. What temp do you dehydrate yours at and for how long? Do you line the bottom of your dehydrator with paper towels?
@ I do my bacon jerky at 160 for 24 hours. Putting paper towels on the bottom is a great idea! I like the bacon jerky while hiking you can chew one bite for 30 minutes and it doesn’t lose the bacon flavor I call it bacon gum. The best thing is there is absolutely no need to add anything for flavor. Use the thin sliced bacon. I was buying bacon jerky on line at a very high price for 2.5 ounces now for $4.99 I get a pound!
I would really enjoy seeing a how-to video for jerky. I've played with different timing on my jerky when I make it and I don't know if there's something I should be adding, but mine always comes out excessively dry to the point of being crunchy.
The "red packaged" jerky you speak of is Jack Links & it is made in WI & is family-owned and family-operated company. Born in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, (Minong) which is where Jack Link (yes, he's a real person) still resides. More useless knowledge from Geri on Salisbury Lake, WI
I bought some after your last review and I'm with Grandma Judy. This jerky is a little spicy for me (I tried 6 flavors). It was thinner than I expected too which was fine because, like Courtney, I had some tough spots. That said, the flavors are good, and I found them to be less smoky flavored than something like the Tillimock Zero Sugar. For now I'll stick with making my own. Wouldn't it be great if someone keto who is a home cook created recipes for different jerkies, perhaps using a variety of keto friendly flavorings using different meats (hint hint)? 😁
I have looked at them in the past, and I believe I ordered once, but too many of the products are made with sugar so not keto friendly and therefore a no go for me. Same with store bought jerky - you really need to read the labels to avoid the carbs in a snack that should have none at all.
Thanks, gang! Colton continues to be an absolute treasure 😂
He really is.
Who doesn’t love an innocent little blooper in the middle of a video? 😂 Thank you, Colton.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that appreciated that. And he was so polite about it afterward.
Steve, great review. Enjoy watch a review with Colton and Courtney. Colton steals the show. Thank you.
So much fun watching you all. 🙂
Thanks for the video! I'm going to place an order. I usually just stop at Buc-ee's for some good jerky.
Buc-ee's is finally starting to open locations in Wisconsin, though not near me (yet). I've heard good things about them.
thanks for the review on the jerky

Thanks for the review we love trying new jerkys too!
Great review Steve! I love seeing all of you together. Colton is so much fun to watch.
I love how Colton looks so interested when you explain everything at the beginning.
Thanks for leaving that in. I needed that laugh 😂
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your bloopers. It made my day!!! Gotta try some of this jerky.❤
Poise and Engagement. My wish for Colton is many many more experiences like these episodes. Steve~ inspired and devoted. 🤗

Wonderful group review. Ordered from Matt twice now and love it.
It's not cheap, but it sure is high quality. I'm glad you like it.
@SeriousKeto No jerky is cheap ( for good reason) but this is well worth the money. Thanks for the discount
LOL, Colton is adorable!!
Oh Colton you gave me my laugh of the day 😂❤
Burp. Scuse me❤😂
Great to see the Dynamic Trio back together!

Jack Links was the brand we were thinking of. 🙂
@ I’ve heard of that one too but I always see the red and yellow slim Jim’s in gas stations.😁
Not just any beef jerky. "Artisan" beef jerky. It has to be good. 😋
It is so much better than the mass produced "gas station" jerky brands.

@ I’ve thought about it…
@@SeriousKeto 👍
Hahaha I love Colton, that was priceless! 😇

I am not in charge of their pricing, and I disclose in the video that it is premium priced.
Matt is angry about being called "Mad"!!! It makes him SOOO M-A-D. 😜
I think he'll get over it. 😉
5:46 😂😂😂 so cute
The best jerky I’ve ever had is bacon jerky I make myself….delicious! Easy and cheap if you consider the price of jerky in general

I agree with your taste tests. I’m in agreement with Aunt Judy. I tried the new liver one. Not getting that again. Did not like the taste OR texture.
I will NOT be trying the liver one. 😳😉

It's something I'll likely experiment with this winter.

Good info. Thanks.
The gristle is the best part of the meat in terms of collagen.
I prefer my collagen in homemade broth. It's a lot easier on my jaw muscles. 😉
Steve, how were able to tell which bags were made with flank steak? I might be missing it, but I cannot immediately tell from the web site.
It says "Gourmet Flank" on it. 😉

Winter would be a good time for that (perhaps foreshadowing...).
Yum.
Good video, Steve! FYI, I tried following the link halfway through the video and got a 404 Page Not Found error
Thanks for letting me know. I just sent them an email.
It should be fixed now. 😉👍

Most of the Matt Hat Jerkies don't have sugar.
