I’ve been wanting to know how to make a vtuber model and downloaded the app and all but never knew how to make stuff. You explain really well and show examples corresponding to it. Your vmodel is very cute and your voice suits it. You’ve just earned a new sub:)
For anyone looking for pointers on the eye highlights, most anime characters don't have mirrored eye highlights. Export the highlight to any random free art program and make the highlights on one side, then copy and paste to the other side. Keep it even.
Vroid is an amazing beginners tool or for those who want to get into vtubing fast, only thing is it limits your creative scope for the model to only anime esque characters.
I love your tutorials, their so easy to follow and understand. the only problem is that some times it can be a bit hard to see what your working on because of your model. But I absolutely hope you get more subs and can make more content like this!
So how do I change the color of the tongue when the program only gives me a brush? Why can't I select the lower square and just select a color? Worse yet, it's a circle brush, and they don't offer a square one.
If you have never drawn digitally it will be harder to start out :< I have drawn using a mouse and later on bought a graphic tablet, so drawing with either one comes easier to me now!! But don't give up :3 You'll get better and better if you practice a few times, I promise!! ^w^
My tip: Use a procedural system to do it. You can easily hook up a custom anime eye shader in ~1 hr and it won't require much artistic skill. Just messing about intelligently will lead to decent results. Then, bake that texture in an appropriate manner for highlights, etc.
I can't wait to get a laptop and start doing this but I'm in 8th grade and it will be bought when I pass 12th grade so I have to wait 😑 but I'll keep on learning from you
So, it is that simple huh? I wonder why many indies struggle with commissioning models instead of creating one themselves. In your introduction (previous video) at least up to the point you actually have to use blender and so forth, it looks pretty straightforward if you want to start with something. Which is the thing most struggle with in my experience talking to a couple aspiring indies. Looking forward for the next one in the series. 🧐👌
I have tested the stable version and found it to be more unreliable than the beta version - there are many differences in the mesh of the model itself as well as how the materials get assigned, and it all ends up making the model even heavier than the beta version models were, making it really unfriendly for people with lower end pc's and such :< If people are interested I might do a comparison of how good the models truly are depending on which software it was made in!
I downloaded vroaid and it's a super basic, paper doll kinda layout. It doesn't have near the abilities that you show in the video. What am I doing wrong?
Oh gorgeous lady!! You are right! They updated it from beta earlier this year it seems! 😍 Thank you so much for your fantastic videos! I've fallen in love with your content :) i hope to use my own basic and fun custom animated character on my TH-cam channels :) o have this one for DIYs and product reviews and another for health and chronic pain content to help people thrive through unideal health conditions 😁❤️ thank you for being such a sweet and loving energy on the internet! Sending 🤗 hugs!!
thx oh and I have a question how do you get inspiration and know if your idea is original like how do I know if I made something that someone made already ?
well the point of inspiration in my opinion is really to learn thanks to admiring other people's work. I don't think there is a way for anything to be truly 100% just your idea! I have many times come across people who designed things in similar ways that I did even when I was sure it was completely a new and fresh concept LOL Just enjoy exploring your artsy self and don't be afraid to search for help and inspiration which will spark up ideas in your head :3
@@Blep35 punkalopi looks cute as chibilopi & super intimidating tier kawaii as chibilopi with naifu (committing cwimes agins hoomanaty)!!! It looks fantastic overall!! Also looks useable as a VRChat avatar. Once I get an HTC Vive, I'll be happy to commish you! Sure I can make a VRoid avatar blahblurblah, but I don't have any desire to use VRoid. Unity3d & Blender 3D mostly. Maybe Reality for the basics of what I'm looking for, but that's all. Also, I firmly believe in supporting artists like you bc you're better than I am at using compoodurs. Lol 😋😋😋😋 Anubian Kemo-goth barista is dum 🤪🤪🤪🤪 PSA to Blep-Chan : FTR, my TH-cam mobile is being weird. It keeps showing the PC version instead of the mobile version. It's functionality takes a nosedive, even when using the Opera Browser. I know this bc the Opera version of the TH-cam mobile layout looks way simpler & this layout is just... Not what its supposed to look like for mobile. Just wanted to let you know. If a reply seems wacky, blank or unfinished, now you know why. Just wanted you to know.
There are a few choices of brushes in VRoid, but as far as I know there are only those 4 or 3 in there. If you want to use a specific brush you enjoy in another drawing software you can export the texture as png, put it into your drawing software to draw there, and then import it back in! This is pretty hard to do correctly though as you won't see where you are drawing on the model exactly in an external app :
the audio is so bad it's difficult to hear what you are saying you are mumbling your words and it sounds like charlie brown.. i haven't seen any your other videos but i hope they are more articulate and understandable than this one. remember the point of a tutorial is making sure that you are communicating properly and your audience is able to understand not just what you are doing but what you are saying.
it would be absolutely awesome if you could do a tutorial on how you did your ears and tail!
Excellent tutorial! it's easy to follow! it's definitely a big help to someone that's new to the whole vtuber stuff, thank you so much

Not currently interested in making a model but I watch because your videos are so well done and soothing to listen to.

Easy to undertand!! I love you and thank you so much.

It's because sometimes getting what we want perfectly is hard :((

Great tutorial, will try to implement these tips when I do my model.

Can you tell me how to make a chibi. Model but on iPhone

Maybe you're using the wrong version? I use the VRoid beta in this video D:

Hi, yes I've been commissioned by Punkalopi to create a chibi version of her design!
