First time watching your stuff as it comes out, so here is a tip for ya! if you want Jolan's sword (From just before Ymir fight) if you go back to the church now and give her an Iris of Occultation you can get it. if you give her an Iris of Grace you get her as a summon. There is also a Jar Gaol where you can find her whole drip and a snazzy small shield! Good luck Hombre!
There's no way Squares asian, AND CHINESE?! THERE'S JUST NO WAY!! Jokes aside, this episode has some of my favorite bosses and also some of my favorite lore. Plus I just finished a Strength build where I only used martial arts so you picking this up is extremely ironic to me lol. Dryleaf Arts is extremely fun, but you have to use blood affinity Arcane build or run Cold affinity with Intelligence. Otherwise they underperform in terms of damage output. They're fast and have decent stagger potential as well as have really fun ashes of war, I recommend going to where you saw Crucible Knight Devonia in this episode and look around for a Scarab that when killed drops the Whirlwind Kick ash of war. I NEVER found it on my Martial Arts build, but did find it on my current Spellblade build 🙃 Hopefully you can enjoy it in my stead. Also look up the ash of war: "poison flower blooms twice" that AoW is cool ASF with dryleaf arts because you do this epic drop kick. I also missed that in my martial arts build so hopefully you can enjoy that one too 😭😅 As for the lore, Romina in her remembrance found an element of worship in the Scarlet Rot as her church of the bud was burned to the ground by Messmer. A lot of people think that this means she created the Scarlet Rot or worked with the Rot God, but no I instead believe Romina is just as her boss title says. She was the Saint of the Bud, in this case I believe she was a high ranked member of the Order of Rot that worships the Rot Outer God specifically she was ranked as a Saint. Then there's Metyr whose lore has insane implications on everything we thought we knew. So she was "The Mother of the Fingers". Which ones? Yes. She was the mother of ALL fingers. Two fingers, Finger Creepers, and I theorize even the Three Fingers. Her Remembrance description says that she was a Gleaming Daughter of the Greater Will and that she was the FIRST star sent down to the realm. She was sent BEFORE the Elden Beast which was a Golden Star and a Vassal Beast employed by the Greater Will. Eventually The Greater Will would stop speaking with Metyr because she was broken, and from then on she was left alone. Why was she broken? How did she break? We don't properly know as of right now, but I believe she had a moment of doubt, and in that moment of doubt The Frenzy Flame found a place in her and being an odd eldritch star she gave birth to a creation to shed the frenzy that had purchase in her which was the birthing of The Three Fingers. I think this because there's only 1 set of 3 fingers then like 8+ sets of 2 fingers and an absurd amount of Finger Creepers. That must mean the Three Fingers is special, and to me they must be how she was broken which in turn led to her abandonment. A lot of this is my own speculation on the lore, so take it with a grain of salt. It does however make sense so I don't think I'm entirely outright wrong either.
